Former Clemson DE waived by Titans

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson defensive end Kourtnei Brown was waived by the Tennessee Titans to make room for return man Darrius Sims on Thursday.

Brown had bad luck this preseason as a hamstring injury kept him out of practice for the last week. It's difficult to make the active roster if you are unable to compete.

The 29-year old originally signed with the 49ers as a undrafted free agent back in 2012.

During his Clemson career, Brown had 75 tackles, ten tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception for 20 yards, 13 quarterback pressures, three pass breakups, and two recovered fumbles.

Update: He has been reverted back to the team's injured reserve list.
