No. 1 Clemson is a heavy favorite for its return trip to Syracuse after suffering a loss there in 2017.

Dabo Swinney's Tigers opened as a 24-point favorite for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff (ABC).

Clemson (2-0), after Trevor Lawrence went down to injury, rallied to a 27-23 win at home over Syracuse last season under the leadership of backup Chase Brice.

The Tigers fell 27-24 in the 2017 game in the Carrier Dome after starter Kelly Bryant suffered a first-half injury. Clemson was also a 24-point favorite in that game.

Syracuse dropped to 1-1 on the season after a 63-20 loss at Maryland last week, falling out of the AP and Coaches Poll rankings this week.
