Xavier Thomas playing update

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson sophomore speed rusher Xavier Thomas will not be available Saturday for the road matchup against Louisville.

Thomas was injured (head) in practice earlier this week and was placed in the concussion protocol.

TigerNet confirmed that he didn't travel with the team.

For the season, Thomas has 15 stops, including 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.

Not all is lost as the Tigers still have a ton of talented youthful depth ready to step up with K.J. Henry, Justin Foster, Logan Rudolph, Justin Mascoll, and others.

Update: Justin Foster and Logan Rudolph will start at DE.
