NET is broken!

Remember when prior to the tournament, the "experts" were saying the ACC would get 4 teams in. Then NCSU made their championship run and the ACC had five teams in.
The same "experts" were saying the SEC should get seven to eight teams in because they are the best conference in the universe. Any ESPN bias there?
Well, well, well, the ACC got an extra team in and after 1 round 80% of those teams are still playing.
The SEC? Yep, they got eight teams in. Still playing? Three. Three out of eight, 37.5%.
Hey experts, you are a bunch of morons. Your system sucks!
Let's look at Power 5 with teams still playing:
Big12 5 ACC 4 PAC12 4 B1G 4 SEC 3
The PAC12! The PAC12, a dead conference has more teams still playing than the mighty SEC.
And then there is Auburn. Full disclosure I fell for the hype and had them as my darkshourse to win it all. I watched them beat USC by an average of 36 points in two games. I watched them dominate Alabama. They won the SEC tournament. The SEC, the mighty SEC! Best basketball conference in America, right? Their NCAA tourney draw? Yale, ranked number 81 in the all knowing NET. A no brainer, pick Auburn. Yale 78 - Auburn 76. A 4 seed loses to a 13 seed.
Is this the most embarrassing SEC loss in the tourney? Statistically no! Kentucky, yeah that Kentucky, a blue blood in college basketball. They lost to NET number 126 Oakland!
That makes the SEC dead last among the former Power 5 with teams still in.
Statistically the best conference with teams still playing:
ACC 80% B1G 67% PAC12: 57% Big 12 50% SEC: 38%
And all we heard all season long is a down year in the ACC. The ACC is not the super-power of college basketball anymore.
The ACC still stands at the top of college basketball world with more final four appearances since 2000 than any other conference. The SEC hasn't seen the final four since 2019. They likely won't see it this year either.
Conclusion: The NET over valued the SEC drastically. It undervalued the ACC drastically. It needs to be scrapped. It clearly doesn't work!

Favors sec somehow. That’s where the money is. To be fair I think Clemson should have made it last year and not this year. Beating Alabama was way overweighted. I used to not believe in sec bias but I do now especially given the new cfp revenue “sharing”. And this years basketball was atrocious for them to get so many and us so few relatively. Although we don’t help ourselves by losing to Morehead last year and Virginia getting embarrassed this year.

Basketball is P6 not P5. Big East is 3 for 3

and like the ACC should have gotten more teams in. The Big East and ACC have been superior basketball conferences for a long time. Nothing has changed with regard to that. B12 has gotten better and up there. SEC and B10 are the worst. They rely on media hype and and a rigged metrics system.

Great analysis & along with the committee's reliance on the NET so far in spite of a few upsets I don't think they did a very good job of pairing up the bracket....It seems if the game isn't an upset it turns into a blowout...Just my take

And, those SEC schools are so beat up after playing each other all year long they are too injured to beat teams with a soft schedule like Yale and Oakland.
