Can we get a collective fund going for this young man?

Baseball and softball will grow over the next 10 years, imo.
Beset CWS I’ve ever watched.

How about saving those funds for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren instead of giving it someone you don't even know.

Fair.
But, it would be nice for my children to witness Clemson at the peak of baseball. We don't get to Omaha without big-time arms. Burns shut us down for 6 innings back in early June. We could metaphorically tip our hat to him and make him a tiger.

The bigger problem for Bakich is developing his own pitching talent and then struggling to retain them at Clemson for 3 or 4 years. That’s where Clemson’s NIL must remain focused.

It was almost like Tennessee had a velo farm system. They kept rolling out guys throwing 96 plus. And they could maintain their velo deep in the game. Would love to see Clemson study their development systems. Velo isn’t everything, but it is something to keep an eye on. With the likely loss of Amick and potentially Grice, we will need to keep the runs down next year. Burns seems like a fit and I like his demeanor. The way he reacted to throwing 102 against southern miss was a sight to behold. Would give us an edge moving into the season.
Of the 8 teams in Omaha, 75 percent of them are n the top 10 in terms of funding their programs. SCAR and is number 8 in terms of spending I believe.

Incorrect....Velo is absolutely EVERYTHING at the collegiate level...You throw 96+, you have an advantage over 90% of the pitchers at the college level..

movement, or is paired with a good off-speed pitch, hitters will turn around that 102, and send it deep into the seats. That is, if it even finds the strike zone at all.
Baseball, even college baseball, has developed an unhealthy love affair with radar guns. Greg Maddux, who I consider to be among the three best modern pitchers of all time, probably wouldn't even get a look these days, with his puny 88 to 91 mph fastball. (Bob Gibson and Sandy Koufax were the other two on my list, in case someone was wondering.)

It was his slider that killed us. We definitely need pitching, but we also need help learning to his a slider!
It was no secret that the terms in the CWS had great pitchers (more than one) and power hitters. Even with great pitching you are only going to win so many games where you only score two or three runs.

Best CWS I have ever seen. Talent everywhere. Even some of LSU’s older guys (30 plus) played well.

Yep amazes me. Don’t throw it down the middle. Exit velo will be a lot higher.

But what kind of control do he have on the ball throwing it that hard. It's one thing to be able to throw that hard, but it's a whole new story when a pitcher has control of a ball that he's throwing that hard....

Only watched 5 or 6 Tennessee games this year, but the overall trend for burns was upward in terms of command. I think he’s a top 15 pick next year. 80 grade arm.

That reaction alone would be worth the price of admission.
How can I contribute to an NIL directly for this guy?

Forget NIL and the portal for baseball.
Let Bakich keep recruiting - he seems to be doing just fine. It would be great if they allowed more scholarships though.

I believe if we forget NIL for baseball, we will soon find our tigers chances of Omaha, forgotten.

We really should’ve eliminated Tennessee from the regional without all the exorbitant against the rules funding.
