Lack of excitement Super Bowl

Did anyone else feel a lack of excitement even watching the game on tv? I know the tv networks will try to sell you this was "one for the ages" overtime game etc......but keep in mind they have a vested interest in pushing that this was a game played at a high level with an electric atmosphere, but for me the reality did not match that narrative, in fact a few people i was watching the game with left at the beginning of the 4th quarter due to boredom.
There have been alot of opinion that the game might be rigged so that the NFL makes more money and has essentially become a hybrid sports/soap opera. People say the whole Kelce/Swift relationship is a facade meant to benefit all those involved (kelce, swift, NFL and there partners) it's not like it will ever be announced officially so one can never know for sure, but all you can go by is what you see in reality, and in reality it does seem like a possibility. I know i've seen alot of travis kelce brand meat and sides in grocery stores now, i guess he's gearing up for his post playing days celebrity persona strike while the iron is hot.
The other thing i want to mention is the halftime show, i know music is very subjective, but the NFL halftime show for quite a while now has tried to be the story within the story, i just find it kind of cringy when a person like Jim Nance talks about how amazing usher is, does anyone really believe jim nance listens to Usher, but regardless of genre or performer the NFL always is obligated to talk about how "amazing" the performance is, no its not amazing i'll listen to my favorite songs on youtube or in the car, watching some normally nostalgic act perform partial songs is not "mind blowing"

Same here but just me and the wife. Shoot - we even got a bonus quarter of football. But then again we will watch football at any level as long as the game is competitive.

I thought you were gonna say "even you and wife got a bonus quarter", but then you added "of football". Ha, I guess I look for big points!

Nope
Not one bit.
Enjoyed it all and was a tight game with tough defenses stressing both offenses. Went to OT and had a game ending drive leaving 3 seconds on the clock.
Halftime show was as good as one can be.

Everyone has their own taste in music, but nothing stood out in that performance! Maybe you need to go back and look at some prior performances...starting with Prince!

My problem was mainly the excessive amount of advertisement to the point where the came came of as the break for the commercials. Too much time spent on gratuitous graphics and side stories...
Where's KISS when you need a good halftime show? Amazingly, they bypassed getting them while they could still play.

Mistake filled stinkfest for 3 quarters. Too many commercials. Most of the commercials were boring, various, or both. The halftime show was meh. I did like the Usher and Alecia Keys duet. The 4th quarter and the OT were better, mostly because the SF injuries and tired defense let KC back in the game. The 2nd most exciting moment was the SF truck play pass - Jennings to McCaffrey. The most exciting moment was Kelce getting in Coach Reid's face and shoving him.
5.5 stars out of 10.

It was a decent game but I didn’t think the passion and excitement was there.
The chiefs defense seemed very nonchalant down inside their own 20 with the game on the line in OT.
There didn’t seem to be much excitement in the stadium on the winning drive either.

The game was not super entertaining early on, but it ended up being a really exciting game. It’s not often that the Super Bowl goes to overtime.
I really enjoyed the halftime show as well.
Overall, it was one of the best Super Bowls I can remember.

Why is a game with great, record breaking kicking, really good defenses, a huge day by the stars, few penalties and overtime not exciting? I suggest you realize that not every game has poor defense and pass completions after pass completions. No doubt last night's game was one of the best ever.

Does anyone know last night’s ratings? I would guess it might have been highest of all time with all the Swifties on board and competitive game going into OT. I know my wife watched the whole game and much of the post game. I’m sure it was first Super Bowl she has ever watched in its entirety.

Nah it was a great game. Good defense played. Some mistakes to keep it exciting. Offenses going back and forth late. It had everything.
And no, the game was not scripted or rigged because of Kelce/Swift. You're spending too much time in right-wing conspiracy echo chambers if you think that's reality.

You know, much like being a big college football fan would compromise their status as a big college football fan.
It’s odd.

plan. Seemed that 49ers played a little worse and KC a little better as it went along. 49ers blew it when they did not get the touchdown at the end, not to mention the missed XP.
Halftime show was so-so to me. Got better at the end, especially when Ludicrous joined in. Would personally prefer a good rock band but that's just me.
Overall, good watch in my opinion.

If you or anyone you know has even a slight doubt that NFL games are rigged should have a legit conversation with Travis Kelce, Tom Brady or Dan Campbell. Go over to campus and converse with Nick Eason or CJ Spiller, I'm pretty sure they would have highly credible info to refute the thought. The kind of game you may enjoy or the kind of entertainment you prefer will always influence the observation, but I found the game to have reasonably good play and the halftime show to be above average.
