This is the only way for it to be. The mental gymnastics required to put their precious in will be laughable. But we all know it’s coming. Just glad Georgia and Ohio State don’t stand a chance.

I don’t trust them to not put both Uga and Bammer in.
There’s a chance.

That would be mine as well!
Not sure if I trust the committee to do it. But we’ll find out soon enough.

Here is the deal, Florida State has just as big of a following as Bama and the West, North (sort of), East and middle of the country are covered. But the only thing that might stand in the way would be the SEC Network having no representation in the playoffs. The long horn and the acc will have to pick up the slack. But Finebutt will be so mad, he might grow hair and shrink his ears!! Love it

FSU isn’t deserving, they’ve proven on the field they are 1 of the best. Results are part of what make you the best. We had a talented roster and actually “looked” better than fsu when we played them, but they won the game.

"Most deserving" gets teams like Cincinnati and TCU in. We all know how that played out.

Yeah, TCU beat Michigan, so I guess that means that they belonged, or Michigan didn't.
I agree with @BrettFSU on the order and teams, nothing else makes sense. Bama will not jump Texas no matter what, they lost to them head to head by double digits at home. Beating an overrated Ga team with a weak SOS will not change that.

Well, they should consider adding "competitive sports" to their lexicon. Sports championships are based off of on the field results, not a soap opera eye test or who wins on paper.

Has to be. FSU is undefeated and the acc champ. No way they get left out.

I think it will be Washington, Michigan, FSU, Alabama.
Since the criteria is a moving target, it is tough to even say who should be in. The best 4 now, is different from the best 4 over the course of the season, which is different than the best 4 resumes, which is different from the 4 most deserving.
The only thing that we know is that consistency is not in the Playoff Committee's lexicon.

They won’t leave an undefeated FSU out, and I think it’s hard to argue that Texas, at this point, could beat Bama, regardless of early season head to head. I think Texas gets left out.

I would prefer that, but the committee will bow to SEC pressure & screw FSU!

It would be totally illogical to put Bama ahead of Texas, so I predict the final ranking will be:
Michigan Washington Texas Bama
Then use the sorry excuse that FSU isn't the same team without their QB!
Only positive in all this is...surely they won't be stupid enough to leave UGA in the top four!
FSU should not have disclosed the extent of Travis' injury, and said they expect him to be back for the playoff!

Yea if Travis would be ready by the playoffs then the would definitely be a game changer in my mind, or if they were more of a run heavy offense. Just bad luck for the Noles, but all those teams are one play a way from being where they are.

TU for you Bretfsu and I agree with the top 3 but no way do I believe that they will leave Bama or Ga out of the top 4. My bet is,out of the 2 it will be the Dogs being left out.Bama beat the #1 team and won the SEC.

Bret,
Good Luck !
But you are too football smart to think that the current FSU team is better than Georgia, Oregon, or Bama.
