I read somewhere they will probably have 14 or so protected rivalry games like the B1G. Some schools may have several protected rivalries while others none. It was suggested in the article I read Clemson-FSU will be protected as well as Clemson-GT. Kind of hoping for those two as Georgia and Florida are important recruiting states for us.

Don’t need to force permanent rivals just for numbers. Like the previous 3 rivals mode had several that made no sense. FSU/Cuse, Louisville/GT, GT/Wake, Wake/VT, Miami/BC.

Part of that was FSU had a hissy fit when they were gonna be pared with a GT as another rival. So then we got more dumb paring.

I think FSU wanted SU to boost their tv ratings with the New York market to impress a move to the B1G and SEC. That's their only reason.

Beyond that I don’t think there needs to be more permanent ones
