Not to be cootlike....

I was just thinking back to the UNC basketball win. Not suggesting to pass out rings or anything but that was a pretty historical win. I mentioned after that game, if it was football there'd be a new tombstone. What, if anything will basketball do to commemorate that victory? I don't think it should just fade away into the fog that is Clemson basketball history. It's a game that can be looked back on by future teams to build confidence and belief.
A banner seems a bit over the top, maybe frame and hang the front page of the chappel hill news paper from the next morning in the locker room or something. What y'all think?

how about a columbarium type wall somewhere in Littlejohn. Could contain the ashes of the game program for something.
surely if we build it more keystone victories will come

Great win! Over solid team as well. Given we’ve now won twice in the last three contests there, I’m hoping this victory is just one of many. I’ll be happy if wins like this cease to be special and become the norm.
Pivotal win that changed the course of the season.

That's a dumb statement. Why would you ever think or "be happy" that a ranked road win in any sport would cease to be special?

Hate to offend you, but I’d like to see it happen so much (Especially in Chapel Hill), that we consider it the norm. Thanks for allowing me to clarify.

The tombstone idea is pretty cool. Might be nice for all of our sports to have something like that.

Defend him at all costs.
"He's the best coach ever!" "He's being unfairly targeted!" "They twisted his words!" "Everyone is against him because he's a Christian!" "He's a victim of NIL!" "Other programs are cheating!"

I regularly acknowledge that Brad isn't perfect.
He isn't the best coach ever.
Funding is an issue, but pointing that out is reasonable since we are near the bottom of the league when it comes to that.
Our expectations are too high relative to what we put into the program. I'm all for high expectations, but they have to be consistent with how we support the program.
The arena size is fine. I don't have a problem with it.
We do need better fan support, although we have at least had some pretty good turnouts for some games this year. A better home court advantage would surely help.
It's not impossible to win away games. In fact, we have been a really good team away from home this year.
Now, start looking more critically at the Dabo cult. They rarely if ever admit that Dabo makes a mistake. It's always excuse after excuse, rationalization after rationalization, which is laughable since Dabo has so many advantages 99.9% of other coaches can only dream of.

Dabo is the best coach ever at Clemson.
Dabo has often been unfairly targeted largely because of his faith.
People have frequently twisted his words to drive their own narrative.
Other programs absolutely are cheating (i.e., using NIL as a recruiting inducement and tampering).
Can you name any one of those statements that is not 100% factual?

No, all of those statements aren't 100% factual.
Regarding Dabo being the the best coach ever at Clemson, that's not a 100% fact, it's an opinion. An argument can be made for other coaches as well, such as Ibrahim, Noonan, etc. It depends on the criteria used by the person who is giving his or her opinion.
It is not 100% fact that Dabo has been unfairly targeted because of his faith. No one has said that Dabo can't have his Christian beliefs. How exactly has he been "targeted" because of his faith?!?
No, it's not 100% fact that people frequently twist Dabo's words to drive their own narrative.
Some programs probably are cheating, but accusations that it's widespread or that we are the only ones who don't are overstated.
Hope that helps.

Dabo is the best football coach ever at Clemson. That is not an opinion. His results speak for themselves and more than support that position.
Dabo has been unfairly targeted because of his faith numerous times by groups like Freedom From Religion and and the national media. One such group even filed a complaint with the University citing "serious constitutional concerns about how the public university's football program is entangled with religion." When he once said, "We built this program on NIL. On God's name, likeness and image" some people went bat poop crazy and took exception to his mentioning God and referencing his Christianity. He has been mocked on numerous occasions for referencing his religion and making comments about his faith. Almost every time Dabo mentions his Christianity or God in a press conferences, plenty of people have something to say about it on social media.
It is a 100% fact that Dabo's comments about the transfer portal and NIL have been completely misconstrued and twisted. He has repeatedly said that he is not opposed to either NIL or the portal. He has also said that NIL and the transfer portal are not the problems. The problem is tampering and that neither NIL or the portal are regulated. Yet people still drive the narrative that he is opposed to both which simply is not true. While his philosophy is to building from within and retain players, he is not opposed to either NIL or the transfer portal. The national media has specifically said he is against the transfer portal and dislikes NIL. Not once ever has he said that.
I hope that helps!

Don’t call it historic or you’ll be sniped by the naysayer crowd. I’m not sure, when you speak about Clemson basketball and its history, how could it not be historical. The highest ranked team we’ve beaten on the road since 1976. Checks the historical box to me.

Would it be over the top to (quietly and privately) cut down nets in significant games? FSU football is out there digging up chunks of turf. Nets are relatively easy and inexpensive to replace, and might make a cool “graveyard” of sorts.
We could even make a show of taking new nets to certain games, sending the message that they will be needing them.
Just a dumb idea that popped into my head. If not nets, maybe we just name a player of the game and have a hall of portraits with plaques commemorating those significant wins. Might be motivational to the players.
