Same here. Not Mrs Spud, but my wife. We met as next door neighbors in the prefabs in the fall of 1980.

Shaft and Superfly!

When all three lines were really percolating, we produced just over a million pounds of Dacron fiber A DAY! That is a whole lot of doubleknits!

I can confirm there were Star Wars toys in the room for me also. Interesting side note: I have an extensive Star Wars collection that is worthy of a museum. I am constantly buying new items to add to my collection. My son and nieces are already arguing about who gets it wants what. Maybe I’ll donate it all to charity! 😂

of Moncks Corner. That included a 78, which was memorable, because it was my first time ever breaking 80! And, you could have called me butta, 'cause I was on a roll. Shot a 77 the very next day at what was then George Miler Country Club in Summerville. Back to back breaking 80 after never having done it before. Great memories, thanks Dug for reminding me!

I remember it well. I was just a tween when we made the elite 8! It was a great time to be a Tiger! It’s ALWAYS a great time to be a Tiger. We had an elite eight team and a football Natty followed just behind. The beauty part is that I have gotten to share all those moments with my father. I’m hoping we can win a basketball Natty, baseball Natty, softball Natty, soccer Natty, and another football Natty. I’d say that would guarantee Clemson’s top spot on the Capital One Collegiate Cup as the most dominant University in college sports! A man can dream can’t be?!

I had just finished a two year stint as an expat with wife and sons in Castlebar, Ireland. We moved back to the states to one of our manufacturing plants in Kingstree, SC. Bought a house, the air conditioner went out for two weeks and the thermometer topped 100F. After spending the two previous July 4th's in rainy, windy high of 54F weather in Castlebar, Ireland; that was wicked. That Clemson run was the highlight of that spring.
The Clemson / Connecticut 1990 was the greatest heart breaker though.

No way they got that shot off without help from the clock operator in my opinion, I thought we had won, it was an unbelievable dagger.

If you watch the video and the clock, it was off when the timer hit 0. Clock doesn't start until he catches it. I think it was good. But regardless, Campbell didn't help us. He's 6'11 and he waved his arms. Thats all he did. He didn't jump, he didn't really effect the pass at all. More than anything, Elden could have really effected the pass in. he did not even try.
