It’s not just a last few years either. The ACC owns the NCAAT when compared to any other conference. By limiting ACC schools in the dance, they assure a better chance for their beloved SEC teams to advance deeper. Sure, our numbers are a little down over the last decade. We still have more wins, more sweet 16 teams, more elite 8, more final fours, and 40% of the championships. It just means more is a crock filled with bull $-hit.

I'd love to see 4 ACC teams in the Sweet 16 after today...

I wouldn’t be shocked if we have 50% of the elite 8 (or more) and 50% of the final four again. I honestly believe we have the talent to make that run. Coach BB is the only weakness we have.

How can you have more than 50 percent of the elite 8 with only 4 teams?

They have to continually state and restate how horrible the ACC is because it helps invalidate Brownell’s superior success in the conference compared to his predecessors.

Now you came to be knowledgeable about basketball. Do you honestly believe the ACC is as deep now as it was 15-20 years ago?

Ever heard of promotions? Publicists write whatever they want to and it is never a problem and it is life. Proof, listen to any speech Biden or Trump make.

The ACC has exactly 1 upset by seed in the tournament. That our top 3 teams are performing as expected by the committee doesn’t really prove any conspiracy. UVA lost in embarrassing fashion to an equivalent seed. Only NC State has shown to be an over achiever and that’s only the win over Texas Tech. How high would you have seeded NC State? they ended the regular season 2 games over .500. Not everything is a conspiracy.

The conspiracy isn't the seeding of the ACC teams that did get in!

It's the fact that Wake and Pitt should have gotten in also, but because the the narrative against the ACC, the quota was met with five teams! Would've only been four, if not for NC State winning the conference tournament!

But using W/L record of our teams that did get in doesn’t make that point. And as I’ve pointed out elsewhere - Pitt and Wake play atrocious and bad out of conference slates respectively. Pitt lost to Missouri that went 0-18 in the SEC. Wake lost to LSU and Georgia, who didn’t make the tourney. They went 1-3 against P5 non-conference opponents. How is any objective system supposed to put them ahead of teams that didn’t lose those kind of games.
We seem to understand that the ACC kills itself in football by having teams go out an lose to absolute garbage opponents. I don’t understand why we don’t make the same connection with basketball. It is a relatively recent but undeniable phenomenon in this conference. The committee cannot reasonably be expected to eyeball test 300 teams.
