Maybe for his master’s champions dinner he will serve shots of chilled Rory tears between courses?

I would hope they are good, LIV spent about 500 million to a billion dollars just to acquire the top talents. That said, Augusta and the Master’s is the star, no one will even broach the LIV vs PGA issues this week. The Master’s is too special and no one wants to take away from that, it was reported that Phil, who always has an opinion and thinks he’s an expert on every thing, didn’t say a word at the champions dinner. I’m just rooting for good golf, happy to watch BK playing dominant golf but not Ben more so the amateur that’s playing well… rooting for him to finish strong (Bennett). BK got a huge advantage playing early today with similar conditions to yesterday, he might just have to hold serve the rest of the weekend and no one else gets close to him.

Isn’t he like the only LIV player doing well so far? I mean that’s not really surprising either since he was a top PGA player when he left. The rest not so much.
Several of the "defectors" were top players, not just Koepka. Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Bryson Dechambeau, and Cameron Smith were all near the top of the world golf rankings when they joined LIV. They all also have won at least one major the past few years.

Not surprised any of them left due to the money they were offered and their ages, all over 100 million. Phil actually surprised me the most, he was set to take over for Nick Faldo and would be the Tony Romo of golf and set new records for commentators. He torpedoed his career and legacy.

100%. Golfers will win or lose. LIV will not win or lose. The exhibition league is made up of 3 really good players (Dustin, cam, brooks), the rest are just filler or really bad. The last two winners before brooks last week had not been competitive on the PGAT for many years or ever. The issue with LIV is ownership. Working for a brutal regime who supported 9/11, killed Jamal K, hates gays and treats women as second class citizens. Clearly, very few watch or go to events. (Just check the numbers). Before you LIV bots start it’s the (we buy oil, etc) - the huge difference is the Saudi regime is the owner. Their boss. I don’t have a choice in fuel. They have a choice who they work for. Morals, values.

Saudi Arabia owns a substantial stake in just about every major US company.
If you logged onto Facebook or watched a Disney movie this year you chose to line their pockets (and help them diversify away from their golden handcuffs).
I admire the money the PGA has dumped into the wildly successful spin machine that has branded LIV a terrorist organization while at the same time accepting Saudi money. So far they have been pretty good duping the everyone

I really enjoy Brandel Chamblees insights…… But his distain for Brooks clouds his judgment and takes away from some of his brilliance when it comes to his commentary/historical insights.

Brooks is hard to like. Just like Bryson. Selling out is the issue. My issue is like Fred Couples says - if you want to go - go. But don’t bad mouth the platform from which I have worked hard to build for 45 years. Go play. Also, HV3 just said that the line that LIV was trying to grow the game was BS. It was just for the money. While I hate he sold out, I respect his honesty. I also appreciate Dustin and how he handled it. He left and has not bad mouthed the real tour.

Many things can change, but he’s in the lead after two rounds at this moment. Not bad at all….
Considering how much he’s been hurt and how little he has played it’s pretty remarkable

Brooks has played great. One bogey through the first 2 rounds is remarkable. He generally is a good front-runner in the majors but I still think he will be caught. I think either Day, Hovland, or Rahm will wind up winning with Rahm being my pick but they all need to shoot at least -3 today to stay close at the halfway point.

I don't know about snowflakes melting, but hearing the LIV

golfers pi$$ and moan about the PGA Tour got old pretty quick. You know, the tour that promoted them for years/decades, paid them millions, gave them the TV exposure to become household names... in other words, made them who they are today, so they were even attractive to LIV. A couple of em just seemed to be blind to all that, and totally ungrateful. And willing to make snide comments and try to undermine the PGA Tour...
I get why guys like Lefty & Sergio would jump on the big bucks, as they'll never compete for a major again and they know it. But Brooks is different, when he's healthy he's as good as anybody out there. His knee is finally good and he's back in beast mode like he was a few years ago. I got no problem with him playing well, and I think most folks feel the same way...

But as soon as the LIV guys left the board members from PGA had to come off their fat pockets and give more money because they were scared of losing more. They preach loyalty until you call them out for greed and then you’re the bad guy

That’s a bogus argument. They simply rearranged the money. It will hurt the lower tier players and reward the higher. The PGAT is very DP, but the lower tier will find it tougher now. (The young and generally ranked 75-250.).

Most of the "name" players that went over to LIV were already "over the hill". My opinion is liv players should be banned from playing all PGA events. I am also upset that Wimbledon is going to allow russian and bellarus tennis players to compete this summer. But hey, MONEY talks.

I love it! I hope he holds on and walks away with it. The PGA is so full of crap, as soon as all the LIV stuff started happening they bump up the pay for PGA. They’re all in it for money somebody finally could match them and all they can do is cry

Tiger is responsible for the purse increases. The PGAT simply moved money around and is charging more for “elevated” events, which will hurt lower tier events, local charities, and lower tier and young players.

but he was NEVER a media darling, LIV or PGA. His personality turned a lot of people off. I didn't care one way or the other, the man could play. It appears the injuries are behind him now, and he is back to hitting Major winning golf shots.
My view on LIV golf is this. It is a Saudi financed minor league. But, the pay is very MAJOR league. I wouldn't have had a problem with any player saying, "Hey, I came over here for the money", if they had left it at that. But no, many felt the need to take potshots at the PGA, none moreso than Greg Norman, who, despite making multimillions from the PGA Tour, seems determined to try and destroy it. As such, I don't blame the PGA Tour whatsoever for taking any and every action deemed necessary to preserve their business. Because, that is exactly what it is, the largest golf BUSINESS in the world.

way the pull, draw, grace, excitement, history or whatever that a Nicklaus, Palmer, Player, Rodrigues, you "name em" earlier golfers had.
Yes, these young guns can hit it, win often & make huge sums but most have no personality or star power like the great ones in my day.
Of course Tiger came upon the scene between those old & these new greats thus he was able to rack up the record wins over the old boys and not quite ready new ones.
And Yes, the Masters is the King of courses, imho.

the deekheads from the PGA. I guess because they have no problem cashing the big checks from the Saudis. You know, the dudes who did 9-11. In a perfect world, they'd love to have DeChambeau's head on a pike. But they smile and act nice and fool suckers...
Whatever, it doesn't matter. Big money will always trump everything for some people.
