Shout out to BrettFSU...
I still see a lot of hate on this board for Jameis Winston..which I understand given our experiences with him at FSU...
But...if you want to change your perspective on him...clearly he is a person that has grown and matured beyond our assumptions of him...
Check out the latest Theo Von podcast with Jameis..
Disclaimer/Comments: I like to play a podcast in my ear when I'm doing other things...Theo is a comedian but he talks to many interesting people on his podcast..

when the Taints were up 41-17 on the Falcons.
They were in a victory formation and he changed it to a play so they could score again.
That was in January 2024, just a few months ago. So no, he hasn't changed.
He's a scumbag, as well as a moron, and I have no use for him.

And there were some very legitimate concerns about his behavior while at FSU. But I do think he's changed for the better and done some good things since then, and I've mostly found him to be a likeable person. But that's not to say he doesn't deserve criticism for the things he's done wrong.

My thoughts on Winston.

I pray he has submitted his life to the lordship of Christ and is a new creature.
When he was at FSU he was a great QB who was also a spoiled brat and was coddled by Jimbo for any off field decisions he made. He became a typical teenager who thought he was entitled to anything he wanted. And, he was treated that way by everyone, virtually, whom he came in contact with.
As for his two most famous incidents - 1. He definitely shoplifted the crab legs. But there is at least some evidence he did so with a wink and a nod from the manager of Publix. That in no way excuses him. The rumors were that the manager gave him "Take whatever food you need, just don't get caught" understanding.
2. The overwhelming evidence is the sex he had with the girl was consensual. (I won't go into great detail, because whether or not it was consensual is not my point.) Jamies went out picked up a girl and brought her home to use as his personal sex toy. In the words of folks of my generation, he had the morals of an alley cat. I doubt this was the only time he used a girl for his sexual gratification.
Jimbo covered for him and had no problem with his activities until they became public. In that sense Jimbo aided and abetted, or at least turned a blind eye. And, the majority of FSU fans did exactly the same thing, turning Winston into a victim rather than the person he was.

Brett …this is really what I’m referring to… Jameis’ relationship with Christ ..
He repeatedly redirected the conversation that way…he spent a large portion of the podcast talking about his faith ..
It’s not a faith based podcast …Theo’s a comedian and allows the podcast to take on a life of it’s own - depending on the guest… He’s not against faith and seems to be on a journey of his own ..He seemed to be taking in what Jameis was saying…
Only God knows our heart’s but Jameis seemed very sincere…

The podcast already has nearly 200K views and it’s only 13 hours old…
Jameis seems to have really matured ….again..only God knows our hearts..

Unquestionably Jameis has done wrong…we all have…
However - I do believe in the redemptive power of Christ ….
