I like Clemson 1st, feel comfortable with ACC but it has so many weak or uninspiring teams to play in FB..ACC is a BB 1st conference..
and SEC fits us better due to locale, culture, fans..
but BiG also has FB history that goes back even further than SEC (say Rose Bowl) and has high academics.
Saying, give me a month to decide.
Grits & Gravy anyone? LOL~

If on a sinking ship, any life preserver is welcomed.. prefer the SEC but ..the BIG is better than staying in place ..

I don't think we have an offer at this point. The suit makes it clear we are asking for a ruling on the legality of the GOR and exit fees, which is different than the FSU suit which is asking for the items to be invalidated so they can leave.
To answer your other question, B10 is the better fit unless you like chanting SEC which is the same as the WooHoo.

The rumor was that Clemson wasn't going hit send on the lawsuit until there was an offer. That lawsuit wasn't drafted overnight, so it makes sense that Clemson was waiting until the right moment, which that moment can only be a move out of the ACC. Otherwise, why even bother?

Fully disagree. We ABSOLUTELY have a landing spot somewhere otherwise why file this lawsuit today? Theirs nothing special about today and we have the tournament coming up.
It was filed today purposefully bc we have a spot somewhere. Unlike most here… I don’t care whether it’s SEC or B10. As long as it’s one of those I really don’t care. Either conference will insure we are able to keep up… $ wise. That’s all that matters.

If you're going to chase money, look to the B1G

Network TV with Fox. With cable, satellite fee's always going up, and streaming fees increasing as well, free TV wins. Network games simply draw more eyeballs than cable

ESPN has ABC they can leverage more for network TV, so that part is a toss up.
I can see it ending up as Fox BiG and ABC/ESPN SEC, like CBS and FOX have in the NFL with CBS and NBC getting college time slot matchups of any conference like SNF and MNF is set up.

Clemson football would probably benefit more from the SEC just do to general proximity and built in rivalries.
Clemson as an institute would get a helluva lot more from the B1G and honestly going SEC would feel like a slap in the face on that angle.
I think 90% of the B1G are rated as top 100 universities with many in the top 50 like the current ACC just with better sports. It’s why GT had a chance to go B1G like 20 years ago because the academics fit.
Clemson is pouring a ton of money into improving academics and offering a wider variety of programs such as the recent automotive engineering program and the soon to start veterinarian school. There are also rumors they want a med school for the upstate to go along with the nursing school that’s doing so well.
So if we can ride not only B1G athletics and money but also their academic standards then let’s go. Joining up with Tenn, Miss St, LSU etc while totally fine state schools isn’t gonna help raise the academic levels like the B1G would.

Texas, TAMU, Florida and Vanderbilt are all high ranking universities. I'd step down from the high horse.

It’s not about the top end. It’s the fact that the bottom half of the B1G is Clemson or BETTER academic wise. Sure especially with adding a couple Texas schools the SEC has improved academically. The problem is the bottom half falls off a cliff academically speaking.
Are Texas, Vandy, and Florida great schools like Michigan, UCLA, and Northwestern? Sure. The problem is Kentucky, USCe, and Ole Miss, aren’t in the same sphere as the bottom part of the B1G. Just is what it is.
I’d like for Clemson to improve to one day be a top 50 academic university, and you’d be crazy to think the SEC would help more than the B1G in this regard.

We can fit in the SEC or ACC and that's the list.

Either area we can win and still recruit long term, travel, etc. Big10 is a terrible idea. I don't care how much money is promised, I will not welcome being pushed around by Ohio State on every issue. The extra money has not helped Indiana, Nebraska, Maryland, etc etc

Questions we don't know the answer to....
2

....First, it is clear, Clemson knows they will be in the B1G or SEC. NO doubt about that.
Now, here are the unknowns.
1. Will Fox and ESPN work together and decide how to divide the teams into which conferences or will they let the conferences decide which teams to pick?
2. How hard, if at all, will the SEC fight to keep the B1G out of the Southeastern USA?
The answers to those questions will be the determining factor in seeing which conference FSU and Clemson end up in.
