Except for the Zion Williamson pay for play fiasco where the football program was thrown under the bus and Steve Smith was fired/contract not renewed, and the time O’Neil McBride claimed he was abused by CBB which caused him to quit the team, and the time CBB stepped on the court during play and shoved Girard. Except for those times he stays out of trouble.

And I don’t know if the NCAA got involved or not, I don’t work there. I know the FBI was involved in at least one of these incidents, our AD stepped in in the second, and the third is on film. Certainly you aren’t implying I made up these three things, and I’m guessing you don’t view any of them as a positive, so I’m not really sure what your complaint is with the post. I think you are doing this because I made the post, not because it’s incorrect.

more that football misdeeds were insinuated by Steve Smith. Maybe you have some information I don't, and if so, it would be interesting to see. The football program was cleared based on everything I've read. I also don’t know if the FBI said Brad was involved, I’ve never read the full report. I know Brad called Dabo and apologized, but I wasn’t privy to the conversation, so I don’t know if Brad apologized for his own actions or Steve’s.

I wouldn't put too much stock into the McBride thing. As I'm sure we all remember, Dabo had a similar incident recently with Kinard's son when Terry claimed that Dabo had publicly shamed him as a punishment during practice. Amy Smith stirred up some controversy when she was first hired at Clemson because of several former athletes at North Carolina and Utah State who claimed she had fostered a toxic culture. One girl in particular complained that Smith had told her she had to lose weight and that this had damaged her mental health and caused her to develop an eating disorder. As you can imagine, this created quite the bleep-show on twitter and put Clemson gymnastics in the crosshairs of a lot of SJW types within the gymnastics community for a while. TIP actually posted about it back then while it was going on, so here's that for reference: https://www.tigernet.com/clemson-forum/thread/people-apparently-really-dislike-our-new-gymnastics-coach-2152941 There was a somewhat similar situation involving John Rittman as well, though I believe it got far less attention than Amy Smith's ordeal and I don't know the particulars of that case.
As we know all too well, these situations can get ugly very quickly. You hope they never happen and it's never a good thing when they do. But in all 4 of these situations, it should be noted that the players involved were among the worst on their teams, benchwarmers who were getting little if any playing time. This is no justification for abusive treatment, but as the details of these situations came out, it became clear that what more likely happened was that these particular athletes were resentful about being passed up on the depth charts and didn't take well to hard coaching or to punishment drills for failing to meet accountability standards. In the cases of Dabo, Brad, and John, most people I've seen on TNET seem to have agreed that nothing "abusive" actually happened. The Amy Smith ordeal is more borderline and folks will probably have mixed opinions. Again, I want to be clear that I do not wish to condone or minimize legitimate mistreatment of athletes by coaches. I just think it's pretty clear that in the situations I mentioned there wasn't actually any abuse going on, just disgruntled athletes who were unhappy with their playing time, with being chewed out or punished in practice, or with being bluntly told they weren't good enough and what needed to improve. The point is that this type of controversy seems to be relatively commonplace among Clemson coaches (and others too, of course) despite the fact that most of them probably haven't done anything to warrant it. Brad should not be singled out for this.
The Steve Smith situation was strange, but as I recall, it seemed that after investigation no credible evidence was produced to suggest that anyone other than Smith was involved in any shady activities (in either the basketball program or the football program) and that all of his talk was just a bunch of hot air. This is further evidenced by the fact that the basketball team has been free of any scandals or related issues since then. It would seem that incident was just a Steve Smith problem as opposed to a problem with the rest of the team, and his dismissal resolved the issue.
As far as the Girard push, that probably wasn't a smart move, and it certainly wasn't a good look. But I think people took it way too far. It's ridiculous that people tried to frame it as though Brad committed some evil atrocity or abusive act that hurt Joe in any way. It didn't, and it really wasn't a big deal. Moments of frustration happen in sports, and the two seem to have gotten along just fine since then. If people don't like Brad that's fine, but trying to falsely moralize that incident as a means of criticizing his character is really disingenuous in my opinion (I'm not saying that you specifically did that.) Just criticize his decisions and coaching style if you disagree with him; there's no need to try to slander his character to strengthen your argument.

Several nice things on a hump day. He seems to run a clean program and the athletes seem to stay out of trouble. He is our all time leader in Wins and losses. As a matter of fact, with his next loss he will have lost more games than any other Clemson coach has won
He knows how to keep a job. 14 years of utter, unexplainable brilliance!

For 2023-24 he built a roster that should finish top 4 in ACC, make the Sweet 16, and finish ranked in the top 15.
Whether that happens or not is another story.

If we're being honest I don't the average basketball fan thinks Brad is anything better, or worse than kinda average.
In reality the fringe would be a minority that thinks he's the best basketball coach we've ever had??? Are you listening to yourself? That's a head scratching statement.
Are you familiar with the term "projection"? 😊
