One of the most despicable performances I’ve seen to date by any Clemson squad. Wow… I’m still in shock. I told everyone the Riley hire wouldn’t fix anything because there’s so many other inept coaches in place. Oh well, Go Tigers…

Youre not wrong. Grisham should be fired immediately.

*I know you don’t fire a coach in Sept. but he should be let go as soon as the regular season is finished.

Why not, I'm sure Dabo could get Jeff Scott to step right in and coach the WR's. After all, Jeff's record of coaching some of the NFLs top receivers has been documented bc that is what he did while coaching our WR's full time, he produce some really good NFL receivers, and he hasn't forgot how they should be coached just bc he didn't make it as a HC!!!
H&LL yes, fire the chit out of Grisham and walk Jeff Scott right back in that position and make him the top paid WR's coach in the country, and I'm sure he would come back and produce more top NFL receivers as the top paid WR's coach in the country!!! And if he plans to ever coach college FB again, it isn't likely he is going to get hired as OC or a HC at one of the top schools any time soon....

B I N G O for hitting the nail square on the head... There is more inexperience on the coaching staff than there is with the starters on the team, and they are having to depend on the starters to coach up the second team bc of inexperience on the coaching staff, but Dabo will never admit that it's his fault that started with the hire of Streeter and Goodwin and continue to roll up hill from there!!!
It was also pretty clear that most of the play calling were from last seasons playbook, and I believe that was bc Dabo didn't want to show the play that Garrett had installed from his playbook so that FSU don't have any true film study of Garretts playbook being played by our Tigers and totally ignoring that the team had only practiced last years plays for only one week, and I'm convinced that was the absolute reason this team looked completely out of sink!!!

Yes, I was trying to tell myself the same thing - that we could win without showing anything - WRONG My question now is do we have anything to show????

If that's the case, then this elite program was looking ahead about three games? Holding out cards for three games? Elite programs take care of business every week. They don't look ahead or hold back. If we're trying to hold out the wildcards for "the big game", we deserve all the a$$ whippings coming our way. We show no toughness on this team.

Wow just wow. Can’t remember the last time I was this disappointed in my Tigers. There are no words. I was ready to blast all my Gamecock buds tomorrow at work. Now I’m the laughingstock.
Here’s to hoping we can find some rhythm Saturday.
Right now DJ is the one laughing and thanking the Lord he transferred

Change is needed. Hit the transfer portal like you are Deion Sanders rebuilding a program from nothing. This is bad. Defense was average at best, zero sacks, not containing the QB, average at best secondary... We lost our violence on defense, we are nor intimidating our opponents... Then the offense... Last season wasn't Brandon Streeter or DJU, this isn't Riley or Klubnik... this is a pedestrian O-line and 2nd string FCS receivers. It's bad.
DABO NEEDS TO HIT THE PORTAL AND HE NEEDS TO HIT IT HARD. Complete overhaul on this offense. This is embarrassing. We don't even look like a top 30 team right now. If we play like this all season we lose to FSU, Notre Dame, UNC, NC State, and SC. I don't even feel confident in winning against Miami, Wake, or Cuse.
The way they played tonight we might not even make a toilet bowl. It's THAT bad.

Going forward after every word was spoken from the Coaches, the players the next words said from all of them should be “no comment”. Everyone was fed a line of crap for sure. 7 points from the new offense? Somebody is laughing all the way to the bank. Elite defense? Not even close. If things don’t get better quickly then heads will roll. Can’t believe the receivers are so bad, Can’t believe linebackers weren’t on the field. Something doesn’t change then multiple more losses are on the way. The most pitiful performance on the field in quite some time.

Everyone will say we are done, we can’t do this, we can’t do that. This happens every year with a top 10 team who rights the ship by seasons end. Maybe we will maybe we won’t. With that being said this was super embarrassing.

I don't know what to say - obviously the worst opener in many years. Every time we found something, e.g the success of the 21 package, we went away from it and then turned it over - offense not prepared in any way shape or form. Somewhere Streeter is havig a good laugh. As with all last year, our defense can't stop anyone so another boy wonder coach fails to make adjustments - and oh by the way, spend some time on how to tackle this week. Hard as it may be for you to believe, people will not simply fall down because we are Clemson - you have to tackle them. Yes, the special teams also were truly "special." Have we ever practiced against someone that might try to block a hick - it surely didn't look like it. No excuse for allowing that pressur from all the way out there to be a factor, twice. I guess Dabo said it best when he said we were ready to play a week ago - clearly we should have played them because we were completly not prepared to play tonight. I'm not going to fault the players because they played their best but simply got no help from anyone on the coaching staff. We need to teach fundatmental tackling, blocking and to look at the yard marker before sliding. Congrats to Duke of course, they set a goal and they fought to achieve it while we ASUMED we could show up and win. I hope we learn from tonight and end up 11-1 in the ACC Championship game but we have clearly lost any margin for error so no escuses from here on. The team that showed up tonight will be lucky to win 7 games and this is not the standard, or I hope its not. I don't know when we have been 1-3 with at least 2 losses coming to teams that we should have beaten and 3-4 from last November on. Right now we are average at best and compared to what, 55 and 4 for our senior class a few years ago, this is simply not accpetable.. Right the ship and I'll see you in the Valley on Sept 23! Go Tigers!
