jounge book club - get me outta this series!

I've succumbed to a 12 book series and I'm almost done. idk why, put I love the post-apocalyptic shid. Somehow I stumbled upon this series by Angry American (idfk why that's his name) about a dude who has to walk home after an EMP attack / solar storm that knocked out the grid (book 1)

the series expands to day-to-day life rebuilding society since the attack.

loved it. almost too much.

I need to get back to a non-fiction or a much more chill and deep read. this is just doom #### that I can't put down and (luckily) am having a shid sales year or else I'd have $10k in new gear haha.

I've noticed one downside to having a Kindle is you get trapped in Amazon algorithms like anything else.

what y'all been reading?

I’m reading Fox and I, a memoir by a woman in Montana who has a fox come by and hang out with her. Well written, easy reading, perspective from somewhat of a hermit. I met the author by chance which is why I picked up the book. It’s interesting, do recommend.

Does it count if it's an audiobook? If so - I'm listening to this

I put it on my list. I was serious, that is right up my friggin alley.

I just need a break.

Might jump into a western or something. Maybe one of my Austrian Economists. something drastically different from the crazy global geo-political issues / ramifications / doompron stuff.

thanks for the rec, will definitely get to this one.

The Big Sky series is really good. Easy reads, entertaining, and good character development.

Shane is a classic. Highly recommend.

Butcher's Crossing is a little bit more literary but the payoff is worth it. Very, very good.

Have you ever read Lonesome Dove?

Thousands of pages of them every freaking week

I no longer read for pleasure because the last thing I want to do after working all day reading is, reading

All I would do is gaming, so I do not

I mostly watch sports, listen to music, and try and take care of the 6 billion things the head of household is constantly being required to do

Last night it was Knicks/Pacers on tv2 on mute, and a really cool Paul Newman movie called The Bayou (I think)

You read government documents then change them to support the government’s propaganda and alternative history?

I know you can’t say yes so just TU if true.
