What are we going to do with all these RBs

We are so loaded at the position. Its a great position to be in but I can only assume someone or two will transfer by the end of next season. Can some be moved to other positions?
Its great to have such talented options though.

We're gonna run all over some fools, is what we're gonna do. We're set to continue to have productivity rise in our running game.
Also, I know that CJ Fuller played some DB in high school, but we recruited him to run so idk.

When you run a fast break offense you need deep personnel at every offensive position. Ain't easy to go that fast without getting tired.

I agree we probably want to carry 5 but will have 7 if

all come in qualify. (5 less Mcdowell plus Fuller, Og, and Choice = 7).
Now, here is the thing. Both Fuller and Og have some academic work to do. In addition, I have heard rumors Og might be more of a slot or combo guy.
On top of all that you have attrition.
We will see if it ever truly reaches 7, don't be shocked it it works itself out to 5 or 6.

truetiger, you pretty much hit on all of the points. 1 or 2 will get in for 2014. One of the questionable ones is being looked at, like you said, as a slot guy. We may not take an RB in 2015 if a prep guy qualifies after one year at prep.

To stay competitive or a high quality football team year in year out, year after year, there has to be depth at all positions, especially at RBs. With Clemson fast pace, high volume play calling each game, the RBs will need time within the program to learn, process, get a feel for what is required for them to be productive on the team. There won't be a great drop off with experience, or a RB starting the season totally blind because someone left as a junior, out do to injuries, or possible transfers. Maintaining a strong program, you can never have enough players at each position. Cross training always help the team when the need all of a sudden arrive unexpected, or a problem with depth arrive because of academics, rule voilation, etc.. Remember Maryland at QB last year. RBs are no exception. We shouldn't forget so quickly of our DB depth last two season. Totally unexpectively.

You need to have 3 RBs who can win for you ...

To find 3 who can win, you might need to sign 7 ...
Right now, honestly we don't have any RBs who have proven they can "win".
The coaches obviously like the guys we have and the ones we've signed, but they are all basically unproven commodities at this point.

Next year we'll only have Howard, Brooks, Dye, Gallman

Choice, Oglesby, and Fuller, except if any of the last 3 get sent to prep school. Wow, most schools would like to have any 2 or 3 of those.
At WR we'll only have Bryant, Peake, Hopper, Humphries, Priester, Porter, Williams, Kitt, Scott, and maybe Watkins.
Stoudt, Kelly, and/or Watson should enjoy handing off and throwing to theses guys. With Thomas and Shatley the only senior line starters this year, the O should be pretty good next year with or without CM.
And with Christian and Shuey maybe the only senior defensive starters this year, the D should be alright too.
