Exactly. No big fish in the “Big” 12. They are all medium fish at best. They are safe because they are cast offs that dont add value to any conference. I know this isnt a true measure of value, but a week or so ago, revenue for each school was posted. I think Ohio State led with $252 million. I think the highest Big 12 team was Ok St. with around $110 million. I could be off a bit on the figures. Revenue may be calculated differently by different schools. But still a good approximation. Ok St had more revenue than some of the bottom feeders in other conferences, but not too impressive from the top revenue earner in an entire conference.

Ok St. apparently has a big time donor Boone Pickens that they named the football field after. Not sure how or if that is figured into the equation for them.
I’m sure all teams has that guy but that name seems to come up more than most.

Yes, T. Boone Pickens died 3-4 years ago.
It's too bad we don't have a billionaire to pay our way out of the ACC. Until we get the exit fee and the GOR problems solved, we are stranded.

..trigger and join the Big 12.
We could dominate a weak schedule, always win the Big 12 title, and then make it to the 12 team playoff as a top seed with a bye every year.

It would be helpful to get away from the negative recruiting

due to being in what ESPN constantly and self-servingly slams as a weak conference. Going to the Big XII in this new world order of B1G/SEC would just help with the ESPN/FOX self-fulfilling prophecy as they tell recruits to go to the only conferences that play Big Boy Football. Clemson would still get their share, but it would be better to be in the B1G or SEC.

One of the things I like about the B12 is that in any given year,a number of their teams are capable of rising up and becoming the big fish.

There isn’t one. Good for each team to have a chance, bad for national perception.
