Bockhorst “it’s not about making friends it’s about winning”

I love the fire but that’s a pisspoor attitude IMO. Yeah winning is the goal. Winning is important. But the second winning supplants the love for the game, the passion and brotherhood created, and just plain ol fun, there’s a big problem.
I have made several posts since the spring about relationship building on the line and between DJU. Our previous QBs knew the importance of building that bond. Dinners, movies, hanging out it important. Not only does it build trust but it creates a respect for one another that goes a long way when the ##### hits the fan on the field.
That quote, and his attitude in the interview lead me to believe this team is not having fun. If practices are going the way the coaches say they are and then the team comes out and buckles like we’re seeing, that to me indicates they are pressing way to hard and any love for the game is just lost.
