We know the Covid vaccines saved millions of lives. We know that people who took the shots were much less likely to be hospitalized. We know that people who are boosted are at lower risk of long-covid. And in fact, this is how vaccines should operate. They prevent disease & death.
If you're anti-vaxx and you didn't get the primary series, then you're much more likely to have serious covid and die from covid than people who got the shots.
And the anti-vaxx movement in general is having a spillover effect from covid into other types of vaccinations for children, and it's deadly.

So I figured you were FoS because you're, well, you, sorry...but the thought that Birx might have indeed said such a thing intrigued me, so I watched and then started digging a bit. (Gosh, checking sources...who woulda thunk of such a thing? I know, right?)
For starters, context: this clip - and your assertion - are actually not new ones. This clip of Neil Cavuto and Birx was from July 22, 2022. She actually said...well, actually, I don't have to go into it, because this whole thing hit the right-wing mediasphere two years back and even PolitiFact and Facebook's disinformation-flagging crew took notice. And this is what came out:

In case no one has been paying attention, Politifact’s purpose is to utilize lawyerly language to protect a source who supports the narrative from a government that Politifact supports from being ‘wrong.’
Dr. Birm: “We found no record of Birx saying the vaccine could provide complete protection against infection. In fact, as early as December 2020, she said that it could not curtail an uptick in COVID-19 cases.”
“Complete” is the lawyerly adjective that Politifact uses to indemnify Dr. Birx from responsibility for our government’s COVID vax message that ‘COVID vax protects you (regular people) from contracting COVID 19, and it keeps you from spreading COVID 19.’
If Dr. Birx’ influence had led the government’s message to have been ‘COVID vax does not provide complete protection from contracting COVID 19, nor does the COVID vax provide complete protection from spreading COVID 19, but you should take it anyways or else you’ll be restricted from being allowed to utilize numerous public and private activities, including but not limited to, going to college or school, getting care from many providers of medical services, airline travel, visiting government offices, etc,’ then that would be a statement that Politifact could say was true.
Our government knew that the ‘long version’ statement that I provided would not be effective as far as eliciting public support for the COVID vax program. Therefore, the message which got repeated endlessly by the media shills for our government as per the wording in my third paragraph, above.
(*). Had Dr. Birx and our government health authorities been committed to ‘lawyerly’ truth, then Dr. Birx and govt agencies would have spent a not insignificant portion of their COVID vax messaging budget to correct the misrepresentations that were ‘inadvertently’ misleading the public.
(*). But, of course, no such ‘corrective messaging’ took place. Thus, the clever lie of omission … par for the course by our government … was effective in manipulating the American people.
This is OK with America’s leftists, so onward and downward we go.

The vaccine is a complimentary 1st infection that's 99.999% survivable. It makes your next covid infection milder. All it does. Same as a flu vaccine that no one has issues with. I remember when the flu vaccines came out they were going to end influenza. Same line.

U. of S.Carolina professor Philip Buckhaults (Ph.D Biochemist & Molecular Biologist) established that both Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines contaminated with E.Coli DNA. It was the commercial scale manufactured COVID vaccines from both companies that were contaminated with the bacterial DNA.
However, the COVID vax from both companies that were evaluated by the FDA were made in pilot scale manufacturing vessels (smaller scale mfging vessels than those used in commercial scale manufacturing. Both companies’ pilot scale mfg’d COVID vaccine samples were devoid of DNA contaminant. (I suspect that politicians and ‘important’ people received pilot scale vaccines.)
^^^^ represents grotesque misconduct (either absurd incompetence or conscious obfuscation ‘justified’ by expedienciencies … I suspect that both factors were in play) on behalf of the vax mfg’ers (Ofizer and Moderna) and the FDA (+ maybe others among our health agencies).
An excuse based solely upon incompetence is plausible for the 2021 mass rollout of the mRNA platform vaccines. The ‘incompetence’ excuse withers away as unusually high levels of serious adverse events became undeniable by the start of 2022. Yet, our health authorities (with their silence and refusal to acknowledge the serious adverse events) and our federal govt’s increasingly oppressive vax mandates during 2022 clearly had primary motivation other than the public health. Given the corruption of the government’s political leadership (at both the federal and state levels), the bureaucracy, and the vax manufacturers themselves to cash in with stupendous monetary rewards, I am of the belief that greed superseded public health interests.
We’ve seen this ‘we want to make money’ priority over ‘the public good’ corruption from the federal and state governments on numerous other matters (excessive military ‘aid’ for Ukraine, anyone), so the vax corruption should not be a surprise to anyone.
Back to COVID vaccines: Our governments have worked hard to create our distrust. In this, they have succeeded.

This was common knowledge from the beginning. The goal of the Covid vaccines was to prevent hundreds of thousands of deaths from the virus and more deaths from hospitals from being so overrun with Covid patients that they couldn't care for everyone else. Masks and social distancing helped prevent the spread.

No, it's more complicated than that.
We were told that the vaccine would prevent infection and transmission.We were told that this was a disease of the unvaccinated which was not true.
Additionally the 6 foot social distancing and most masks really didn't prevent the spread. There was never any scientific data to support the 6 ft social distancing. Cloth and standard surgical masks were not effective.
Having said all that, I do believe the vaccine did save lives and prevent some people from having to be hospitalized, but the vaccine was not a panacea for all things COVID.
I have no regrets about taking the initial 2 vaccines along with 2 boosters, but at this point with the data showing little benefit beyond a few months of receiving the vaccine and with COVID not being a seasonal virus, I see little reason to continue with the jabs unless the virus becomes more virulent.
We still have not had a good post mortem on things that worked and didn't.
Additionally Tom, you went on and on that COVID was a hoax. Do you still maintain that? Who was behind this worldwide "hoax" and what was the benefit to nations perpetuating this "hoax?"

The 6 foot distance is based on measurements of aerosol travel distance from an average cough or sneeze. Scientific measurements, however old and outdated they are. No one without foeces-on-the-brain can dispute that distance works, but you can debate on how much distance is required.

Do a little research. There is no doubt that the social distancing rules did very little and that actual effective social distancing indoors with shared ventilation would have been impractical.
