In Williams, AZ today, going to the Grand Canyon for the first time.

Uneventful flight to Vegas last night and drive here, late. Did represent with my Tiger Paw. The little lovingettes and I are screwed up by the time. Any have to dos in the local area? Apparently the Havasu falls is shut down at least until June 1st. My younger two are too short to ride the donkey down to the bottom—not sure I would have wanted to ride one anyways. Guess we will be mainly just sight seeing unless we see some little hikes which we can take the little tykes

Grand Canyon, having come in from Williams, Arizona just like you. While I was peering over the edge into what I thought was a vertical abyss, this squirrel came rocketing up the side and ran out right in the midst of me and my family.

I would bet with the adrenaline spike I got right then, I could have carried a couple pianos up some stairs by myself!

And felt very close to heaven that day both due to the altitude and lightning strikes near me. I enjoy running but not like that. Props to him.

If you have time...

drive down to Sedona to see the red-rock formations. Lots of hiking trails and picnic spots. You could also head west on I-40 and then up Highway 93 toward Vegas to check-out the Hoover ###. It's about a two and-a-half hour drive but well worth the time IMO. Sedona is a good bit closer. Only about an hour drive.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Another minor tourist trap, the ORIGINAL London Bridge

Mar 21, 2022, 11:12 AM

that once spanned the Thames River in London, England is now located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

It doesn't really look "British" at all. The mental image most have of London Bridge is actually named "The Tower Bridge". Now, that one does look all Englishy and medieval.

:)
