I've thought that Morris has sounded unhappy all year. I'm sure that he feels like he should be "in charge" of the offense.

And in hindsight now can we read more into their annoying statement earlier this year. "We do what we do" ? When asked why not line up under center when in short yardage.

I wonder if his talks with them were when he thought watson had a torn acl. He would have been out for most of next year and then only had one more year. Interesting timing.

Doubtful.

You are essentially talking about one game(UGA)that Cole didn't look that bad in and two or three possessions (FSU) where Stoudt did look rough and got the hook. Otherwise, Cole's presence on the field was dictated by injury.

No, don't think so. I think it has everything with SMU being an excellent spot for Coach Morris's first HC job. NO wins this year should mean a new HC won't be under pressure for unreasonable results. Unlike Coach Muschamp at Florida.

IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT THE $$$$$$'S....A 2 mil contract for I would say (5yrs)...10 mil, plus incentives to boot. HC job...He is on his way...We will now get a coach that is better, wait and see...Will cost at least 2 hundred tho more, but coaching is big bus..go tigers...

To pretend we know exactly what happens behind close doors

is ludicrous. Of course, this thread is just a rumor with no factual basis...but it IS a possibility. It matter little now though, it looks like the writing is on the wall for Morris. I will say this though, you really have to question someone's thought process for naming Stout and Howard as starters at the beginning of the season. I think it's quite clear these guys were no where close to the best at the respective positions. I don't know who exactly was responsible for that, but it'd be tough working with them if that's the way they are seeing things...

It makes perfect sense to start the seasoned veterans to

start the year at UGA. Stoudt and Howard were that, and in actuality Stoudt didn't too bad. Howard had no blocking whatsoever. Then Stoudt moved us down the field against FSU before missing a wide open TD then losing his job to a true freshmen. When was the last time Howard started anyway?
Right move giving the experienced veteran a chance, but yeah they was eventually moved aside for first year players.
Playing Stoudt and Howard were not the reason we lost either the FSU or UGA games, and we won 4 games before Stoudt was is a horrific haze against GT. Are you suggesting Dabo and Morris were at odds over whether we should have started Schuessler over Stoudt? You can't be serious. Sure, I suppose there's a *possibility* that Morris and Swinney don't always agree, I guess, but there's also a possibility John Gruden will replace Morris if/when he goes. Let's be a little more realistic instead of the silly, baseless speculation.

going back home to texas and getting a million more per year than anything else. Morris was not ready for the type of top 5 ball Dabo is going to deliver. Good riddance

Has to do with money and timing. Morris stock is going down fast. If he has a big money offer, this might be his last chance to take one.
