Who thinks Choice actually scored. Why no review?

Who thinks CJ Davidson scored a TD against FSU?

Oct 12, 2014, 11:48 AM

No review either. I don't get why they will spend 10 minutes reviewing whether Hopper (i think) juggled the ball on the sideline yesterday when we clearly saw an NFL worthy catch on the big screen but will not review a potential game changing TD in hostile territory (CJD at FSU). I don't like when they choose to review a critical play. All redzone plays should get a look if they are potential game changers IMO.

GO TIGERS!!!

On those two issues.

Choice looked to have scored but the replay clearly showed a little grass between the ball and the white line. The spot was horrible, it should have been place on the three or four inch line.

The ball was secured when he had the ball pinned to his shoulder. Both feet were on the ground inbounds at the time. He wasn't juggling the ball, he was moving it to a spot where it wouldn't come out when he hit the turf on the sideline. That was a definite catch.

We got hosed on those two calls.

Just like with FSU, when we actually scored, but we hurried

to run the next pay. We need to slow it down when the play is in question, give the offivials more time to review. Both times we ran the next play too quickly. IMO

I'm pretty sure his knees hit before the ball got there...

Oct 12, 2014, 11:58 AM

But heck, it was close enough to take a second look. No harm in that.

In both instances we quick snapped and didn't give the review officials time to buzz down. Not too fuel the fire going on here at T-Net, but coaching blunders. I thought Choice was in but not enough evidence to reverse the call. CJ at FSU I think clearly would have been overturned.

They reviewed the pass that was clearly caught inbounds but that didn't do any good.

Re: Who thinks Choice actually scored. Why no review?

I looked up at the replay on the big board, and it appeared he was down about a foot or less short of the goal line. Ball was spotted on the one I believe.
Hopper's catch looked legit, but what they never showed on the board was whether or not he rolled over and came up with it under control, so the replay official - and those watching from home - may have seen something we didn't.
I get frustrated with bad calls, but I didn't get upset with these two for the reasons above.

Oct 12, 2014, 12:56 PM

Agreed, since the FSU game and Davidson 's non reviewed TD I have heard they don't t review non scoring plays but in the USCjr/Mizzu game before the game winning 4 th down TD run they reviewed the 3 rd down run play that was ruled he was short. Why they do it there and not at Fsu or yesterday

We used our challenge on the hopper catch***
