Just saw where Bob Mayberry died Tuesday. RIP Tiger!

Bob played for the NC Team as a reserve OT, as well as in 39 games over a 4 year period..20 games as a starter..with those teams going 35-10-1 during that tenue.

He had a successful car dealership in Monroe NC, where I met him once. Believe he had the old black & white Mayberry Ford Sheriff's car parked out front his business on Hwy 74 which always reminded me of another great North Carolinan who just died, Andy Griffith.

Bob was 51. Go TiGERs!

Wow, I didn't know he was sick. Been in that dealer a few times and he was always there speaking with the customers. The old police car is still out there on 74.

Hate to hear that. Bought my first new car out of college from Bob. Remember him as a tiger player from my years working at Memorial Stadium. Also the only time I have sat in a Dodge Viper was in his showroom (he had ordered for the Panthers coach).
