I am happy that our staff will have two weeks to prepare the team for this one. Their QB had his best game on the biggest stage. Not overlooking Wake but I am excited for this matchup.

Yes Miami will be a challenge

It will be important to start off well and get some momentum early and to get a turnover on them to really get them off their top game. I think our defense can hold them, hoping our offense continues to gain improvement in ball security and situational awareness

How did we open as a 10 point favorite on the road?

They are definitely a lot better than last season, but it's tough to know how good they actually are at this point. They have played one P5 team so far and only one game on the road. Their road game was Temple with about 8,000 fans in attendance. They have played one good team in aTm, but that's about it. We'll find out more about them in the next couple weeks. I love that we have a bye week before them.

They have a strong running game and a talented passer with weapons to throw to.
Wes will be working overtime in the film room to scheme against these guys. Need the offense to handle business and keep our defense playing with the lead. Playing while up on the scoreboard truly changes the dynamics of the game.

Everyone on the remaining schedule looks dangerous. Heck even the Tigers have looked like a danger to themselves at times.

They are no better than they have been. They beat an average A$M team

Exactly...simply put, if we don't turn the ball over - and we may not have to have our best game, just take care of the ball - and we should win pretty handily.
That said, they're going to come out hot, and with all 150 fans in the stadium...handle the initial onrush, don't give them anything to celebrate or feel good about, and the dozens of fans and the Miami team will be gone and fold.
That said, the bigger question is do we want Miami or UNC to win their game? I'm thinking we want Miami to win that matchup, so they're ranked higher, then have UNC win their games from that loss till we play them so they've climbed back up the rankings a bit.

Agree. Avoiding turnovers are key. We dodged several bullets on that front vs. Syracuse. I haven't re-watched the game but remember at the time thinking I saw 3 dropped INTs at least one of which could have been 6 the other way, and that fumble recovery that syracuse got was close to being a quick 6.

Agree. They’d be especially tough if they had fans who showed up for their home games.

I am sure the media machine will have us playing them at night and their fans will show up. They love attending the 'hot events' in Miami. If only for clout.

One game at a time for sure. Beating Miami on the road would be huge if they’re still ranked. Would put us back in the national stage
