I know how Dabo is a great recruiter and loves to make promises to recruits. Maybe that explains it.

But I think the fact that DJ wasn’t ready to handle the pressure of being the starter, plus all the things he was going through personally, and once his confidence was shaken, he never recovered, probably played a part in it.

Last night was the clearest example of this possible. The playbook magically "opened up" once a competent QB was in there.
