Pulling for UConn. UConn?!?

As a fan of ACC basketball it's hard to imagine pulling for a symbol of the old Big East like UConn.
But so sick of hearing about SEC I can't stand to see them win anything.

You are doing the right thing. The last thing we need on T-Net tonight and weeks to come, is for the coots coming on here claiming another NC.

Do you know anything about them other than the fact most of the players are black?

Most of Uconn is black too. I Care less what color they are. No one on the floor is my race so dont go all "racist" high and mighty on me. Am referencing Kentucky basketball in general. They recruit low academic standard players and have a non existent graduation rate.

. Kentucky basketball doesn't recruit all thugs in general, lol. Cousins and Bledsoe are probably the only two that fit that racist bill from white folks.
They don't recruit low academic standard kids. They recruit top talent kids and some are great students, some are average. Probably the same deal at Clemson. The graduation rate is actually pretty high....ALOT higher than uconn and he all white kid Wisconsin team.
Calipari gets kids to go to class, pass classes and graduate.

For the record I follow UK sports as much as Clemson and Kentucky ball gets scrutinized over this stuff repeatedly and no evidence is ever found to support the negativity.
I do know he gets kids to go to class and participate in the college experience while he is there.

Wisconsin actually had a 100% white graduation rate during the three years in question of UCONN. UCONN numbers are quite skewed as well due to the fact that the players are not flunking out, they are going pro.

KY graduation rate

The question concerning Kentucky's graduation rate was addressed yesterday on Walt's WCCP show after a caller questioned how Kentucky does not get NCAA violations for low graduation rates. Walt's explanation, not sure how true this is, was that since all the one and dones are only there for a semester they do not qualify to be counted toward the graduation of the team. The players that qualify to be counted toward the GR are the few bench players that stay four years and earn a degree giving Calipari's teams a high enough GR to elude NCAA sanctions. Like I said I do not know how accurate this is but if true I thought it was interesting.

It's all about the APR...

And what kids do year to year academically. Players on a roster are required to attend and pass class while they are there. As lomg as they do this the par remains high and you're out of the clear.
All of Kentucky's players take summer hours and full credit loads their entire freshman years. All off he reports about them not attending class is stuff made up by haters in the media and public.

It is the same explanation I heard on talk radio. They said Kentucky is by far the lowest academic team in any major conference. It is a balancing act. Last report I saw showed Wisconsin with a 100% white graduation rate and a 0% black graduation rate. When numbers are that skewed, the "books are being cooked," so to speak.

When I can pull for UConn to win another NC. Hell I was afraid Pitt and Cuse would go further than other ACC teams in this tourney. It's gonna take me a minute to welcome them in I guess.
