2023 Offense > 2022 Offense >> 2021 Offense
Perhaps more whining will help Cade continue to age and develop, plus help Antonio Williams heal up and get back in the lineup for the remainder of the season.

what about 61st in yards per play would make anyone want to keep Streeter?
Besides, this isn't an OC problem. It's a position coach and talent/development problem.

argument of the lack of big play ability being a QB or WR problem.
YPG, RYG and PYG do not accurately describe how good an offense is. 200 rush yards per game with 100 pass does not make an offense good. 300 pass yards per game with 20 rush yards per game does not make an offense good. 400 yards per game with no big play ability and little scoring ability does not make an offense good.
Yards per play is a much better indicator of how efficiently offenses move the ball.

When evaluating a college football offense, there isn't a single "best" stat to use because it often depends on the specific aspects of the offense you want to assess. Different statistics can provide valuable insights into different aspects of offensive performance. Here are some key statistics to consider and why they are important:
Total Yards: Total offensive yards gained (rushing + passing) can provide a general overview of an offense's ability to move the ball down the field. It reflects the overall productivity of the offense but doesn't tell the whole story.
Points Per Game (PPG): This statistic measures how many points the offense scores on average per game. Ultimately, the goal of an offense is to put points on the board, so PPG is an important metric.
Yards Per Play (YPP): YPP is a measure of efficiency and big-play capability. It can provide insights into how well an offense gains yards on each play. A high YPP often indicates an explosive offense.
Third-Down Conversion Rate: This statistic measures how successful an offense is at converting third-down opportunities. Sustaining drives and keeping possession of the ball is crucial, and a high third-down conversion rate can indicate a well-executed offense.
Red Zone Efficiency: Red zone statistics, including red zone touchdowns and red zone scoring percentage, show how effective an offense is when it gets close to the opponent's goal line. Scoring touchdowns instead of settling for field goals is often a sign of a potent offense.
Turnover Margin: While not strictly an offensive stat, turnover margin (takeaways minus giveaways) can significantly impact field position and the number of offensive opportunities. An offense that protects the ball well and forces turnovers can have a substantial advantage.
Time of Possession (TOP): TOP can reflect an offense's ability to control the clock and keep the opposing defense on the field. It's essential for managing the flow of the game and resting the defense.
Sacks Allowed: This stat measures the number of times the offensive line allows the quarterback to be sacked. Fewer sacks allowed indicates better pass protection and quarterback efficiency.
Rushing and Passing Yards: Separating rushing and passing yards can provide insights into the balance of an offense. It's important to consider how well an offense executes both aspects of the game.
Advanced Metrics: Advanced statistics like yards per attempt (YPA), passer rating (for quarterbacks), yards after catch (YAC), and more can provide a deeper understanding of an offense's performance, especially when combined with other statistics.
Ultimately, the "best" stat to use depends on your specific evaluation goals. To get a comprehensive picture of an offense, it's often useful to consider a combination of these statistics and analyze them in context, considering the team's style of play, opponent strength, and game situations.

But yet you blame this on QB talent.....

DJ started 13 games in 2022 (did not finish against UNC) and he averaged... 210.08 yards per game, had a 61.9% completion rate, and averaged 6.8 yards per attempt
Cade started 1 game and played most of a second with the same team and in those two games averaged... 299.5 yards per game, had a 64.1% completion rate, and averaged 7.68 yards per attempt
And DJ had some easy opponents to help pad his stats.
I'm not going to tell you what conclusions to draw from that data though.

The conclusion I draw is both are subpar #'s in terms of big play ability and offensive efficiency. It's not QB.

And now you appear to be acting defensively and you're wondering the why?

1) Read my first reply in that thread... "I don’t think the blame falls on any one person/position though, and that’s not my assertion here. I hear a lot of people blaming coaching, QB play, etc… for the recent 10 win seasons, and I thought this information was interesting for comparison purposes."
2) I defended math/logic, which I have said all along.
I see you have started making some assumptions in your replies now. That's never a good sign in a debate.

You are the making the jump, not me. If someone makes a post about DJ, Dabo, Cade, Trevor, Streeter, Riley, Venables, Goodwin, etc, etc... but uses bad logic/math, and I point it out, it doesn't mean I'm "defending" that person because of the person, it means I'm defending math/logic and if someone is the beneficiary, so be it.

How about this, the genesis...

CM Shack makes a claim, not supported by math or logic.
I use math to show his claim seems flawed.
https://www.tigernet.com/clemson-forum/message/thats-exactly-what-he-got-from-streeter,-no-scheme-and-no-32437456
From that, I've heard I think being ranked #48 is not bad, I am a Streeter defender, lover, supporter, etc.. Read his post. Read my response. Read every "defense" I have made since. I have defended math and logic. I have been clear. You "know what I meant" a lot. I say what I meant a lot.
Take a look at my third response, "I pointed out that he took a 100 ranked offense and turned it into an offense ranked 48, which shows substantial improvement. Doesn't mean I'm against Streeter being let go. Doesn't mean I disagree with Dabo. It doesn't mean anything, other than you don't understand math."
It can't be any clearer.

Sure.
PPG 2021 85th 2022 24th 2023 72nd
YPG 2021 98th 2022 41st 2023 62nd
However neither of these indicate offensive efficiency. They are skewed by other variables.
