2020 numbers

I checked the roster and we will be losing at least 13 players (Feaster and Shaq included).
Of the juniors that are likely to declare: Etienne, Simmons, Higgins, Terrell, and Amari.
That’s 18 and our class is already at 16. I believe that we will take 2 WRs in this class.
So, my question is, how many more will we be able to sign? Is 20+ a real possibility?
Thanks, comrades!

20-22 sounds about right. EJ Williams, KeAndre Lambert, Phillip Webb, and Tyler Venables puts you at 20. Burch and Henderson as oversigns. Pretty decent class if you ask me.

they can take 20 but because of attrition he thinks it could be more like 24-25 by signing day.

Hey comrade Trotsky, if I disagree with you does that mean I get to send a group of commandos to hunt you down in the heart of mexico city and put an ice pick through the back of your computer monitor?

I would prefer if you didn’t. Just let me live out my life writing about the failure of our revolution and the horrors of Stalin.

Amari is recovering from an ACL. I doubt he tries to go pro with a partial season.

I think that there is a good chance that he will be ready for the season opener. Chad Kelly recovered from an ACL tear in the spring game. Amari has incredible work ethic.

Amari has to recover from an ACL injury and raise his level of play in 9 months time. Those two things don't go hand in hand.

Have you ever heard of Adrian Peterson? He did it. Amari has incredible work ethic. I wouldn’t put anything past him.

Adrian Peterson was already a star NFL player and had 4 extra months to recover than Amari will.

And then rushed for over 2,000 yards. Again, I’m going to put my faith in Amari’s work ethic. If Chad Kelly can tear his ACL in spring and be ready for the opener then I have no doubt that Amari can as well.

I'm not questioning his chances of playing this season or perhaps even by the season opener. A healthy Amari wouldn't have been drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft. It's not "likely" that Amari coming off a knee injury will be drafted in 2020.

I don't think Amari is likely to declare

Even before the injury i think there was a pretty good chance he would come back. Now i think it's likely he comes back.

Agree. If we took Venables on a preferred walk on, or any preferred walk ons for that matter, does that give us an extra slot? Tia

I don’t know. Artavis and Ray Ray left early, and I feel like Amari is much further ahead than both of them were. Especially from an athletic standpoint.

Me neither. If he comes back early, he can play around for the last 4 games and take the redshirt (although Inthink he will be gone after the 2020 season).
