Those of you who firmly support CBB being retained, and who are obviously content with inconsistency and mediocrity, you'll get to see more of it for at least another year. As an example, Clemson just lost as a 16 point favorite at home to a team with a NET ranking of 228 and who lost by 27 to Mercer earlier this year. You guys must all be absolutely elated (rolling eyes) !!!

The lunatic fringe was out in full force last night. Couldn’t have been more than 2,000 in LJ last night. Must be the only folks that we’re still on board with Brownell.

Inflamatory word - lunatic. But IMO - Neff made a serious blunder by coming out with his statement before the season ended and the dust settled. There was no need for him to do that at the time. Now, after another horrific loss, Neff has egg on his face. He is stuck supporting a coach that the vast majority of fans want to see removed.

but one of two things seems applicable. He was either told by the President and BOT that CBB was to be retained, so it's wasn't actually his call, or he needs to take his head out of his a$$.

I guarantee no one from the board told him to have an informal pow wow with Clemson media about Brownell’s future. He worked closely with Brad before his promotion and he is failing to be objective.
