Rahshaun Smith commits Thurs. Good or Bad for us?

Seems like it's between us and BAMA. I guess Miami could be another option too since that was the last place he visited. The fact that we've got guys like Beasley and Anthony as top draft picks and strangely enough BAMA doesn't have any top level draft picks in their front 7 shouldn't hurt us either.
If you follow him on twitter and hear him speak, he sounds like a Clemson guy if that makes any sense (ie. strong spiritual belief, well spoken, etc.)

Last thing I read on him (Via TigerBry ) was that he and Dabo Swinney are close , and that his momma loves the school . He also met our president , which he remarked highly about ...as they are from the same area in Maryland.
I like our chances.

Exactly. He made a big deal on Twitter about meeting Clements and you know Dabo always seals the deal with the moms (minus Mrs. Queen Nimkendouchie). Wonder what his closing pitch is?

I think LSU is an even bigger factor than any of the schools you mentioned. He's shown favor and of course is a teammate of Savion Smith at IMG, who committed to LSU last month. We're definitely a player, and I believe he realizes our spots are about to fill up with Little and Lamar showing high interest.

He's never mentioned LSU before so that would be a surprise. He wants to play Linebacker. LSU is pretty much known as DB U with all the guys they have put in the NFL over the last 5 years or so. I'm sure that was part of the the lure for Saivion. They aren't known as much for their LBs.

Hopefully it just further convinces Savion to flip to Clemson. He's stated we were a very close second and he plans to take an official.

I can't imagine it being to any school but Clemson. We've recruited him the hardest by far, and he has spent far more time on our campus and with our staff than anyone else's. Bama and FSU would take this kid in a heartbeat, but they aren't getting him.
