RN and the continuing saga

Nov 8, 2012, 1:29 PM

Fellow fans of the great Tigers..

Think before you speak. As a fan base our words and actions can influence the young men we are trying to bring to our great team. Patience is a virtue. IF RN or any other recruit decides not to attend our great university and be ALL IN then that is their decision and in the end is better than them joining our team only to not have what it may take to be ALL IN and part of something special brewing up for the long future. This young man is very talented no doubt, but those talents do us no good if his heart is not in it. There is so much we do not know about this situation and I trust our coaching staff to make the right decisions on whether or not to pursue this young man or let him go. One player does not make a team, although his talent can make us better. But we have others that are coming in that are ALL IN and will give us every ounce of effort to achieve the goals our coaching staff sets (ACC Champ, National Champ). Take the time to put yourself in the shoes of a young man wanting to step out on his own and make a decision but his mother (who may or may not have his best intentions at heart, something we won't know unless the whole story every unfolds) has other ideas. I for one am truly thankful I listened to my father back in the early months of 1991 and joined the Navy, something that I am still doing to this day. He never pressured me to join but was worried that with the first Iraq war a draft would start and he would lose his son to the Army and I would not come home as happened to so many of his friends during the Vietnam War. So let this play out as it may and do what tiger fans do, and that is stay classy and know that whatever decision he makes will be best for our beloved Tigers and we will be stronger for it.
