Baseball and basketball seasons last forever. Hard to get excited about the beginning of a season that last 7 months.
Having said that, I would like to watch some of the Celtics - Heat game to see if Kevin Garnett pops Ray Allen with an elbow. Kevin doesn't like players on the other team - no matter who it is.

like the 80's, with the 2 teams not liking each other. There will be an elbow from Garnet to Allen tonight if Allen drives to the basket

that? i like college b-ball o.k., not my favorite sport,by far, but i will watch it. pro bball, no way. no defense, no rules are enforced, etc. it has gotten to be like wrestling, it is more entertainment than sport!

"no defense" is a myth.

just like in all other sports, the best teams play great defense, the worst teams, not so much.

+1. I'm not a huge fan of the NBA, but I'm starting to get back into it now. The prima donna driven days of 2000-2007ish are coming to a close. More of the better teams are playing sound fundamental bball at both ends of the court it seems like. The fact that teams score a lot more in the NBA isn't because defense isn't being played; it's more an indication of just how good some of those guys are. When Lebron or Kobe or D Rose is really "on", they're pretty much un-guardable.

Its a sad thing when someone like me, who LOVES basketball, could not care less about the NBA.
There are a few players that are fun to watch but just the overall attitude of the majority of the league just disinterests me.

There is a ton of great young talent in the NBA….

if you can't enjoy players like Lebron, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Rajon Rando, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Dwayne Wade, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook and so many other good players, then you just don't like basketball.

Today's NBA is no where near as good as what it was

in the 80's and 90's. Too many players have no dislike for each other. Too much flopping and spoiled athletes. It just isn't that fun to watch anymore. Also don't try and dictate what people like or don't like. I love college basketball, but wouldn't care if the NBA was never played again. Now I do like the way the Celtics and Heat don't like each other and makes for a better game. Lebron and Durant being buddies hurts the game

...I thought I'd take the opportunity to plug a little endeavor I started a few years back. New Orleans is rebranding, and the 'Hornets' name/colors are going to be available. I think we should take it back. It's not as hairbrained as you might imagine; we've been all over national/local media the last year.
If you have a second, give us a look!

NBA ----- none. It's unwatchably horrible.
when they start enforcing the rules again, I might tune in.
(I see highlights on ESPN and see the traveling, hacking, charging, etc non-calls. THAT ain't basketball.)
