Kids asked me the other day if gators really lived in our ponds

because there are warning signs out there.
Neighborhood facebook page shared a 5ish foot gator under someone's Honda Pilot this morning, about a half mile from the house. I guess I need to start telling them that those signs are legit.

surprised in retrospect that we rarely got booted off properties - ah the carefree 80s. Anyway, we woukd gather as many balls as we could in and around the water hazards - lots of small gators - most of which completely ignored us. In retrospect not the brightest way to make money - but then again Inthink we recognized that fact back then.
But the cash flow was addictive.

and also was pretty sure Elvis was out there somewhere living his best life. She was a regular National Enquirer reader, so maybe that was the pre-social media social media.
Also, one time she told me that she had been reading all about how salt was bad for you but she was PRETTY SURE that pepper was just as bad.
Also also, she used to buy happy meals for the toys for her other grandkids. They wouldn't eat the food, so she would feed the hamburgers to my multiple heart attack grandaddy. Then she would take the french fries, mash em up, make patties and fry them AGAIN and then feed them to my grandaddy.
