Tennessee vs. LSU. A Question?

Oct 3, 2022, 10:03 PM

1. who do you all like in this match up? I'll bet the folks who love to preach SEC superiority don't want LSU to win. Because that would mean FSU beating them; was an ACC team beating one of their elite teams instead of a basement dweller. A basement every conference has; some just get called out more than others.

2. how is LSU ranked 25th but FSU is not ranked? Did FSU not beat LSU? I know they recently lost and all - but FSU lost to a ranked Wake team. LSU has only played one game outside the state of Louisiana and they barely beat Auburn.

On to the game with the Volunteers. I think former ACC standout Hendon Hooker does LSU the same way current ACC standout Jordan Travis did them!

Tennessee wins!

Agree?

This one goes into the category of who cares about a faux Tiger or a watered down orange?

As a fan of football in general; I don't care - but do find this one interesting!

LSU hasn't lost since FSU. Tennessee has a good QB. Something will have to give. A year from now; once BK really can put him imprint on the program down there: this won't be a contest! They will be far better than TN. But now, I find it interesting as a football fan. No?

If Tennessee is worth a plugged nickel...

they will beat LSU.

Then Alabama will beat the snot out of them the following week.

Stats from when the fake Death Valley Tigers played the school that don't understand Tigers aren't war Eagles.
LSU only had 270 yards of total offense.
Ab had 438 yards of total offense in a loss.

Good grief! They gave up 337 yards through the air. Strange for DBU to give up that many yards, no?
I think TN has shown their passing game is pretty good this year b/c teams can't just rush in, so Hooker has time to pass it.

I like LSU to cover and maybe win outright

I think Tennessee is better, but I think they will stumble on the road in a tough environment in a look ahead spot (Bama comes to Knoxville next weekend).

Wow!
Hookers mobility will give LSU fits. I think a mobile QB hurt them against Auburn as well. Hooker is just as much of a gamer as Travis.

TigersandCubs - that's out of the frying pan into the oven, LOL! I talk junk about the sorry excuse conference - but the actual good teams "are really good"!

If the fake Death VAlley dwellers have finally started to take on some of Brian Kelly's coaching - they could indeed win. Because, I have never met him; but he doesn't seem very pleasant. So, I kind of just pull against him(BK). But, the dude can coach!

Should be a good one. I still think Ten A Key wins because of Hooker!

I think TN is a team to watch.

Might be the local excitement that has biased my opinion.

Tennessee favored by 3. If a night game I’d lean towards LSU. Given a day game and LSU just barely beat a very bad Auburn, Tennessee should win and cover.

Tennessee wins easily. I think Brian Kelly made a bad move leaving Notre Dame. He should have just rode it out until they fired him.

I hope LSU wins so another fake vaunted SEC powerhouse team is exposed. Alabama will beat Tennessee senseless next week and will only add to Alabama being the greatest team of all time mantra. However, I think Tennessee wins easily against LSwho.

Try creating a ranking this late in the season where there isn’t some of this. Not really possible. Are you an absolutist and believe a winning team should always rank ahead of a losing team? Should Pitt have been ahead of us in 2016?

tigerphils No. Pitt should not have been ranked ahead of us; because they had multiple losses.

LSU has gotten some "historical accomplishments credit" is the bottom line.

I get what you mean; don't misunderstand me. But, I am not trying to "overthink this"! My thing is judging them over "each year"!
Do not give them points for who they have been in the past. Because if one loss to a ranked opponent knocked FSU out; how come it's not holding LSU out of being ranked? I know they are barely ranked, but ranked nonetheless. Probably so it will look better for TV when a ranked TN plays a ranked LSU.

In short, "they both have 1 loss"!
LSU lost to FSU.
FSU lost to a ranked opponent!

Is all I am saying!
