Scott Spencer
Scott Spencer Spencer caught the Clemson coaching staff's eye scoring fifty points in two games at the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. Brownell went to most of his high school games during his junior season. The under-the-radar prospect had early offers from Clemson, East Carolina, Kansas State, Murray State, Richmond and others. Steve Smith is the recruiter of record for Clemson for the talented wing scorer. In 2014, he averaged 11.8 points and five rebounds on 41 percent shooting while leading his team to the State championship in March. He played three seasons at Nansemond River high school before transferring to Blue Ridge high school. He plans to study biomedical engineering at Clemson. TheFuture150.com describes his strengths as 3 point shooting, high motor, mid-range shooting, shot mechanics, feel for the game and playing without the ball. His three things he needs to improve is leadership skills, on-ball defense and ability to create plays according to the website. Smith is the first commitment for Clemson's 2016 basketball recruiting class. 6’6 Blue Ridge SG Scott Spencer (@akasuperman23) has committed to Clemson. #VAHoops pic.twitter.com/lFU6U8ACMM S/O to our young prospect @akasuperman23 (Scott Spencer) for being Team Wall's first ever Commit, Clemson you got a good one!! #2Squad
