SF/PF Donte Grantham chose Clemson over Michigan Friday morning. He visited Clemson last week for Clemson homecoming against Wake Forest and it appears that the visit put it over the top for the Tigers.
He also had offers from Connecticut, WVU, Texas, and several other schools around the country. Several recruiting services have him rated as a high 4-star recruit. He is the highest rated recruit by Brad Brownell and the current coaching staff in their five seasons at Clemson. The recruiting service Rivals.com has Grantham rated #66 overall in the nation. As a junior, he averaged 18.3 points and 9.1 rebounds as his team won the state championship. He was also an all-state performer that season. As a senior, he was the West Virginia Player of the Year and #1 ranked player in the state. After high school he optted for a post-graduate year at Hargrave Military Academy. Clemson offered on 3/8/13. He can play with his back to the basket or step out and play from the wing. Also, can run the floor and finish in transition. He also can develop into a tremendous defensive player with his height and wingspan. Grantham is Clemson's second commitment of the 2014 class. He joins current commitment Gabe DeVoe. I Decided to go To CLEMSON UNIVERSITY!!!! ???????????????? #tigernation #ACC #Family #Orange !!
