Clemson-Auburn was #1 rated ESPN game on Saturday

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson's 19-13 road victory over Auburn on Saturday night was the highest-rated game of the day on ESPN and up 87% with television ratings from last year's Arizona State at Texas A&M prime time matchup over Labor Day weekend.

On WATCH ESPN, the Clemson-Auburn game had an average minute audience of 97,600 and 395,000 unique viewers which was a jump of 85% and 32% respectively from last year according to an ESPN release.

It was the first time Clemson opened with a win on the road currently in the SEC Conference since 1903 and the school's first win at Auburn since 1950.

Clemson has now won three straight games in the series with Auburn, after losing 14 in a row. The Tigers also won in 2011 and 2012.
