ESPN GameDay picks for Clemson-Texas A&M

by - Assoc. Editor -

No. 1 Clemson vs. No. 12 Texas A&M will kick off today at 3:30 p.m. (ABC) from inside Death Valley.

The ESPN GameDay crew did their weekly picks, and all of them predicted the defending national champions as winners over the Aggies.

DESMOND HOWARD: "I really want to pull the trigger on the Aggies. I really think they match up well against Clemson. I didn't like what I saw out of Trevor Lawrence the first game against Georgia Tech. So I think he bounces back and has a Heisman type of game. I'm going with the Clemson Tigers over the Aggies.

CELEBRITY MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY: "I think it is a bounce-back week. I think Clemson's got too much. I think they're for real. The Tigers will beat the Aggies."

LEE CORSO: "I like that pick. Let me tell you something; you think I'm crazy to pick A&M here? No sir. Clemson."

KIRK HERBSTREIT: "Too much talk about what happened last year, how close it was. They're going to come out and prove a point (Clemson). I think Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, the balance and the big-play ability."
