by - Assoc. Editor -

The Carolina Panthers announced that they have waived return specialist Ray-Ray McCloud III per a team release on Tuesday.

McCloud returned ten punts for 82 yards but had three fumbles on the season, including one against the Bucs last Sunday that set up a touchdown.

As a rookie with the Bills, he had five receptions for 36 yards, one kickoff return for 18 yards and two punt returns for 20 yards.

The Bills drafted him in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Clemson.

At Clemson, he had over 1,300 yards from scrimmage with four touchdowns and an additional 725 yards with a touchdown as a returner.
