Favorite "Daboisms" (Sports Illustrated)

SI writer Zach Lentz listed his favorite Daboisms last month. For some reason, I must have missed it when it came out.
For anyone else who missed it (like me) last month:
Everybody’s an example to somebody. At Clemson, it’s til graduation do we part. If you got hope, that gives you power in the present. At Clemson’ it’s BYOG: Bring Your Own Guts. To be an overachiever, you’ve got to be an over believer. It’s only unthinkable if you don’t think it. Don’t let anyone walk through your mind with dirty feet. You’ve got greatness in you but you have to make a decision to be great. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Division I head football coach or Joe Schmo from Okemo. If you’re not anchored, you’re going to be washed away. Greatness never goes on sale, you must pay the full price We’re the rednecks who moved into the nice neighborhood, but we belong. No shine without the grind There is no elevator to greatness, you have to take the stairs

I particularly like: "You’ve got greatness in you but you have to make a decision to be great."
It reinforces the reality that greatness is achievable for anyone who is willing to work for it.

I saw the over believer quote on a wall above a bed in a hotel room in Clemson. By far the funniest placement I could have imagined.

So many good ones.
Do common things in an uncommon way.
The best ability is availability.
I wouldn’t take criticism from someone I wouldn’t seek advice from.
Paraphrasing this one - some of these guys are like growing bamboo. You pour everything into them for 2-3 years and nothing happens then all of a sudden they grow 10 feet almost overnight.

In addition to the ones others have mentioned that were not on the list, I also like:
"Maintain a Windshield Mentality” (basically focusing on what's ahead, not behind)
"Serve the Person’s Heart – Not Their Talent"
