Football question for the resident Brownell shills:
1

Just heard on the radio that Clemson fans will be far outnumbered by Iowa State fans at this bowl game in Florida tonight.
How could this be???
Does this mean Clemson fans just don’t support football?
Will our football team lose tonight because it “feels like a road game” and it shouldn’t?
Just curious, because I seem to have heard similar things recently in regards to a certain basketball tournament.
Thx

I agree and these type posts speak volumes about the original poster more than the state of basketball.

other than that, in the 30 years I've been following Clemson: no major scandals no issues with players or coaches they are graduating kids can field a competitive team even if it is super inconsistent

Not a Brownell shill, but thought I would answer the questions even if they were meant as a dig towards JK.
If Clemson fans have a much easier trip to Orlando and show up in far fewer numbers - then to me it says the ISU fans are more into it. Clemson fans still support football but are not supporting their team like the ISU folks.
Low fan energy can contribute to a negative and/or listless atmosphere. So if Clemson does lose, then lack of fan support could be suggested as a contributing factor.
Not dissimilar to what is going to happen at/in the Rose Bowl.

Wellllll after 6 playoffs in a row

Most of us have spent a fortune.
Nice to stay home this holiday season since all we’re playing for is a box of Cheez its
And after investing so much money. My investment tanked this year. If Warren Buffett flushed my cash down the toilet I probably wouldn’t go to his annual meeting either.

The same here, not that I am not supporting the Tigers, I just wished to stay home this year. If we were in the final four, I would probably be there.
GO TIGERS-BEAT IOWA STATE!!!!!

It is actually refreshing to not to feel compelled to drop thousands of dollars to go to the CFP this year. I certainly wish we were 13-0 and playing for a Natty. But, the bright side is that I can save some money.
I had hotel reservations in Jacksonville in case we got selected for the Gator Bowl. Spending New Year's Eve on the St. John's river would've been nice. Orlando, not so much.
Plus, with the pandemic situation, I really don't want to deal with all of the travel-related hassles.
I'll be donating to my local sports bar this year.

The Iowa State want to see what a real football team looks like. We Tiger fans have known that for years.

ISU fans travel well and support their team. I lived in KC for 40= years and they are great fans.
