No, he's not wrong, but his tactics might be.
"If Florida St. doesn't have a landing spot already in place, and I don't believe they do, the bluster looks a little more like desperation than true bravada. Clemson always has and will keep things internal." David Hood, 8/3/23

I don’t blame Florida State for the way they’re going about this. The way Swofford and ACC egg heads have mismanaged this conference for years is akin to negligence and absolutely pathetic. Whether it’s the GOR fiasco, the ineptness of getting the ACC Network in a timely manner to be able to compete with the SEC Network, or the joke of how they handled ND during CoVid when ND had no other options….the ACC has been operating like it’s stuck in 1989. I’m pissed that Clemson hasn’t been more vocal in telling Phillips and those Tobacco Rd aholes where to shove their basketballs.

To understand ACC decisions, you have to ask yourself how

does this benefit UNC and Duke basketball?
Helping Clemson or FSU is the last thing on the ACC’s mind.

We don't know what Clemson has done or said to the ACC or any other conference. Unless FSU has a deal in hand, this bombardment might not serve them well.

Georgia Tech, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia all suck.
Miami, NCST, and UNC are not much better.
Selling football broadcasts rights for these schools is about like selling “used tennis shoes”
—-
Granted…adding VA tech, Louisville, Pittsburgh, syracuse, and Boston did nothing to elevate the ACC. But get real. Penn State was never going to join this group of midgets.

Are his tactics wrong? We are on a sinking ship and the ACC has done nothing. Why be “professional” at this point? His words tell you exactly what they think of the ACCs “plans.” I find Clemsons silence interesting. Someone should have said something long ago. It’s way to late now but at least FSU is being honest and straight forward.

They have to have a plan in hand to speak that bluntly.

and hope for the best if we want and it will be very costly. Maybe we have no choice, maybe we have no landing spot, but if we do, then get to working on it.

He’s making his case to the fan base and I assume their lawyers are also behind this. This issue will be settled in court when we (Clemson & Florida St) leave! It’ll be very soon! I personally cannot wait!

FSU reminds me of a disgruntled employee

....who rarely gets what they want because they throw temper tantrums, show their cards, and pi$$ everybody else off.
Clemson reminds me of the employee with a killer instinct who has one goal, and that goal involves getting exactly what they want.
I suspect and hope Clemson is a step-ahead of the game. My take is we prefer to not make ourselves look like idiot's while letting the process play out. Because we have a plan, and we plan on getting exactly what we want.
