The Sunday before the Sunday before the Duke game I lost the vision in my right eye. It literally happened in the blink of an eye with no advance warning except for about a minute of extremely sharp pains around my eye. I went to the emergency room where I was connected with 3 ophthalmologists, one a corneal specialist, who I continue to see every 2 days. Of course, this meant cancelling plane reservations, hotel reservations, and dinner reservations with our football group in Durham for the Duke game. I was ok with that. We had not made plans to go to the CSU or FAU games. Next up was FSU and I felt certain all would be good by then.
They determined the cause was an ulcer underneath the cornea. The plan was to eradicate the ulcer then work on restoring my vision. The plan was going exactly as hoped until last Thursday. The docs were concerned but cautiously thought it may have been just a down day. However, yesterday they confirmed that my eye has actually regressed and without a specific reason since the ulcer is gone. My vision, which had very slightly improved, was gone again. On the strong recommendation of the corneal specialist, I cancelled the trip to SC for the game this weekend.
To say I am devastated would be an understatement. Even though I live in California, we have had season tickets for years and it's not often a game of this magnitude shows up in the Valley. Although it may take a little time, my eye and my emotions will heal.
In the meantime, GO TIGERS....BEAT THE HE^^ OUT OF FSU!!
Oh and we gave our tickets away to some friends who are Clemson fans. They're IPTAY tickets and I don't believe in selling them for a profit and wanted to make sure some FSU fans didn't buy them off one of the marketplaces.

You and I have much in common. I have eaten a number of tickets over the years rather than selling them to foes. GO TIGERS, and especially, I hope your eye gets all healed up perfectly. You already have suffered enough by missing games.

Yes sir, I lost my vision in my right eye in March. I have 50% vision left in my left eye. I get eye injections in each eye each month. They have helped my left eye but have not helped my right eye.
I feel your pain and I understand your situation.
You're in my thoughts.

Hang in there Cali Tiger. You live in a #### ### ####### state but you are a tiger. I’ll be there cheering for you (we have season tickets as well but only make it to a couple games a year living in Kentucky now, so I feel you brother).
