To me, what separated CJ Spiller, Gaines Adams, and the Power Rangers was they came back for their Senior years with first round grades. 2018’s D was unbelievable bc of the experience and talent, so imagine if we got any of those guys back, we’d look good next year.

2018s DLINE did not receive 1st RD top 15 projections when they opted to come back.
1. Wilkins was the highest graded as an upperclassmen and was a fringe 1st RD pick projection at best.
2. Austin Bryant was a mid-late RD.
3. Dex was a Soph so not eligible.
4. Clelin was a RS-FR and also not eligible.
CJ Spiller was also a fringe 1st Rd pick.
That said, I don't think any of the above would have came back if they were top 10 projected picks. Dabo probably would have told them to leave at that point.
I'd love to be surprised but I doubt Murph or Bresee are coming back. Simpson would make the most sense based on the projection but he could be okay being a borderline 1st or 2nd RD pick.

Dexter Lawrence was not eligible as you suggest. But Ferrell was draft eligible because he was a redshirt sophomore. In fact Wilkins, Ferrell, Bryant and Huggins all came in the same recruiting class.

We were looking at this yesterday. Couple shockers with ruke not in there. Some teams may be hesitant with Murphy. Not much of a loss there tbh . Not if he continues to take plays off.

Hey Clemgalalways . . . . the tone of this post seems VERY

familiar.
So you are saying that losing a potential Top 10 talent to the NFL is "not much of a loss tbh." - and then backhand a star Clemson football player.
Didn't you say quite a while back that you had met judge keller in person and he was a fine Clemson gentleman ?
And then I respond back, questioning you - asking you to confirm that you had actually met jk in person. You never responded.
This posts seems, at best, very uncalled for.
And at worst - like something a scok would do.
Regardless - your post sucks.

I just knew XT would end up top 10 but he’s had some bad luck along the way.

Hoping his second contract is a big one.

KJ Henry and Trenton Simpson. I don't think Myles Murphy is ready and neither is Bresse. If you choose then choose wisely.

"Bresee is not your run-of-the-mill defensive tackle," PFF's Michael Renner said. "At 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, he’s not holding an ounce of bad weight and could pass for a defensive end from a build perspective."
If that's a recent statement. The dude doesn't know what he's talking about and shows why players shouldn't base their decisions on what these guys think.

Between the kidney infection and strep, it is pretty understandable that Bresee has been out of shape. The thing is these are likely to be one time issues. If he decides to leave and is in shape for the combine, then NFL teams won't think twice about this year.

Neither Bresee nor Simpson were chosen All ACC. Murphy made 2nd Team but I would expect a top 10 pick to be a unanimous all-conference 1st team. Hard to believe an NFL team would use a high pick for what is essentially an unproven player in Bresee. Not trying to knock him, it’s just a fact he has not played much at full speed for 2 years. By the way, yes, I think the defense underachieved as a whole this year. It’s a shame; last years D plus this years ACCC O I think could challenge the varmints and the dawgs. I think we all thought/hoped this years D would be at least as good as last yr.
