It's crazy. I can't see it for a senior who's a Heisman winner... more than a head coach. 10 to 20 times more than a coordinator or position coach. That's got to cause problems. Human nature.
Coaches and ADs have Got to use their pull to band together and demand change. It's not sustainable for one but destroying a sport.

millions for a kid that in effect owes you nothing in return. Let that happen a few times where the guy does not produce or just takes your money and walks away, and these donors will say the heck with that. And you can believe a coach that has been fortified with a multi-million dollar team is going to be under tremedous pressure to produce. I can think of a school in Texas for example...

Grab the popcorn because Rashada may be taking the Florida collective to court. He is going to argue that the signed agreement for $13 million is a valid contract and cannot be canceled.

Everyone on Tigernet that reads this consider what decisions you may choose with so much potential $$$$$$$$$ bring dangled like a carrot
$$$$$$$$$$ verses Education, Learning about Life and Growing up to be a good person, Learning life skills, building life long friendships, and more as part of the right program, and learning to work you way up the ladder of life.
There are going to be coaches on the recruiting trail using NlL as the Number One Bait. Unfortunately many parents will take the same Bait ! Some of us may not live to see the many negatives from the NIL Law. IMO it will not be best for these kids, coaches push NlL and parents getting caught up in the money.
Other countries use to look to the United States for Leadership. Unfortunately many now see us as a Country of Selfish, Self Centered people of GREED ! It’s spreading around the world.
Call me crazy, nuts or delusional but it is the direction we are headed.
Praying for these young college athletes and the future of the country I love so much will by God’s miracle change direction. ?????? !!! Praying that the parents and kids make the right decisions. And few coaches

Well said and I agree 1000%. Sickening really. I love NFL football as well but maybe pushed to make it my favorite. At least they have structure and salary caps. Better teams just have good owners and GM’s that know how to build winners.
Did not realize till recently that the Bills GM was from around my current residence in Tega Cay/FM area. He has come up through the ranks and done very well for his self in Buffalo.

The #6 ranked QB. Wow. I just don’t see $13mill being an accurate number.
What is Manning making?

The only thing visible on Manning is his NIL valuation is 3.4 million. It is reported that he is not signing an NIL deal until he gets on campus. Texas spent $280,000.00 on Arch’s recruiting weekend so expect an insane amount of Texas money for his NIL deal.

Re: 365 says FL … FL should pay every dime

I hope that any school who offers NIL money be required to pay every dime of it, regardless of whether or not the player plays well, performs up to expectations in practice or the weight room, or flunks out of school.
The programs who try to build their program via the portal / NIL need to understand that the cost of consequences be inserted into the value equation.
If my suggestion were to happen, then there would be an enormous retreat by the schools from the NIL, all the while avoiding any sniff of collusion.
(SCOTUS will crush college football teams which collude with other schools.)

Well we are fairly certain that they are behind making it happen. Wasn’t long ago Neff sent out some letter about contributing to this very thing. I’m wondering what the heck do you have to do with it. Schools have to play some part in all this. How else could the coaches go out and guarantee it before the kid even walks on to campus.

Honestly just flat out stupid imo. What is the return on that kind of investment. Hey we won the SEC but we did have to fork out 13 million.
If that’s what it takes then I rather lose 2-3 a year. No even playing ground. They pay 13 million then Ga or Bama will have to fork out 14 million and just keeps going. It’s amazing how dollars can get something so screwed up.
On an another note anybody else ever wonder how much SC lost out on when Murdaugh went to jail. Would love to know what his contribution was to the University.
