As bad as the offense has looked at times,

Defense lost this game. We got out coaches when it mattered despite facing an inexperienced freshman QB. We make zero on the spot adjustments. They dictated the entire 4th…so much for the video we fawn over at home games. Talent is there. And defense can and many times inspires offense. Just not happening.

Yes but IMO they are best by dictated by the offense. We are not pushing our narrative. Pressure the QB.

If your players cannot stop the run when stacking the box, that is on the players.
The strategy was they. The DLine got it handed to them.

I’m not sure me and you watched the same game. The defense only gave up 17 points in regulation despite 3 turnovers by the offense. The defense probably could have played better but they had to be on the field all game. If Georgia Tech can score more than we can in 2OT then it might be an offense problem.

Understood and good point. But with the game on the line, we have up 10 and in the 4th. Our “rough hands” were not up to the task.

Back long ago when I played defensive line we took it as a direst insult if another team thought they could run over us by running up the middle Our "NFL" defensive line let them do just that for the entire length of the field while Cade ran for his life and our D didnt put any pressure on their 1st time starting QB

The bigger issue was the play calling after Miami scored the TD and FG. We played not to lose and look what happened. Dabo has been doing this for years but our talent has been able to over come it. Now that the talent gap has closed, all around the country, we aren’t gonna get away with it anymore. I don’t know that Dabo is capable of changing his overly conservative mindset to close games.

They made adjustments. We moved everyone into the box and left corners on islands. We got out played because Miami wanted it more. We were on skates out there. Which, is unacceptable. This could be Dabo’s most talented team top to bottom.

It’s an entire staff issue. Too many GA’s promoted to position coaches and coordinator. The success came when Dabo went and hired the best coaches available. He’s stocked the cupboard with his former players and friends. Cole Stoudt promoted from GA to offensive development coordinator? Seriously?! Thomas Austin with one year position coach experience at Georgia St given the same role at Clemson?! Grisham as receiver coach?! His resume is garbage. Goodwin was an analyst at best given the keys to a Lambo with a learners permit?! We have to clean house. Hire the best coaches money can buy.
