Has been reinstated back into the Heisman trust and will receive his Heisman back. Like it or not it was way past time with the way the college football landscape has changed.

As bad as that was, it was neither game related nor during his playing time.

Lets say you rob a bank and get caught. You are in court and your defense is that someone else robbed a bank and did not get caught so you should not be penalized for your crime. Is that your point?

Let’s say you rob a bank and get caught. Then someone else robs a bank doesn’t get caught, but admits to robbing a bank. What message does that send? Is robbing a bank not worthy of punishment?

Comparing what Reggie did to robbing a bank is about the most ignorant thing I have ever read.

Wrong analogy. Let say you get busted for robbing a bank. Then 10+ years later, robbing banks becomes legal. Should you get the money that you stole from the bank paid back to you???

O what Pete rose did is still very much against the rules. Not so much the case for Reggie bush. This is more like getting caught trafficking Mary Jane and then it becoming legal. You wouldn’t continue to serve your sentence.

will forever attest to Reggie’s character. As N’awlins struggled to recover from Katrina, every time a grocery store or important local business re-opened, Reggie was there for the ribbon cutting. RB is a stand-up dude.

USC got an unfair advantage over other teams that were not paying players, and if you knowingly participated in the cheating you should not be allowed to reap benefits from it.

Every team that was competing for titles paid players. You dont think Texas slipped Vince Young some money under the table? Heck we paid players, should we be stripped of our 1981 title?

Cheating is cheating. Rule changes aren't retroactive.
Do they go back and expunge misdemeanors for smoking reefer in states where it is now legal?
The lot of them can kick rocks. This is a very public L for society.

It certainly is not a public L for society. It's a W for anybody who ever watched Reggie Bush play college football.

If you believe it's an L for society you are probably an old man who has aged out of what society is today. Being butt hurt that somebody got something they deserved given back to them shows what wonderful character you have.

It was illegal and against NCAA rules at the time. He violated those rules while other players abided by them. Do we wipe the records of convicted shoplifters 10 years ago because today we don’t arrest them if the value is under $1000?

Exactly!
Well said here!
"What was the rule at the time"? Can't do it: "BAM". You Are Guilty! Period!
**Unless this happened and I am just unaware** All the people in states who had "mary-jane for medical reason" when it was illegal - should have their charges cleared since in those states it's legal now? No. (again, unless I missed that).
**Look at some of the people back in the day in S.C. who sold alcohol on Sunday. Do they get it cleared from their permanent record now? Probably not; because the rule "at the time" was that you could not do it.
