he's destroying the country, along with most of the rest of the dems by
1. Not enforcing a 2,000 mile border.
2. Run up trillions in debt.
3. Appease or subsidize enemies like Iran and China.
4. In a multiracial democracy, redefine identity only as one’s tribal affiliation.
5. Recalibrate violent crime as understandable, cry-of-the-heart expressions of social justice.
6. Emasculate the military by using non-meritocratic standards of race, gender, and sexual orientation to determine promotion and commendation.
7. Reinvent the justice system to indict, bankrupt, convict, jail and eliminate political opponents.
8. Encourage the fusion of the bureaucratic state with the electronic media to form a powerful force for political audit, surveillance, censorship, and coercion.
9. Make war on affordable gasoline and natural gas.
10. Marry late, but preferably not at all.
11. Turn world-class universities into indoctrination centers.

Perspective re Job Growth Numbers
1

C&P from the AP article that you linked, followed by my comments:
“Though most industries added jobs last month, hiring was mainly concentrated in three categories: Healthcare and private education, leisure and hospitality and government accounted for nearly 69% of the hiring. In addition, construction companies added a solid 39,000 jobs.”
Good job on the construction numbers, which are helped by govt spending on highways and bridges (note, deficit spending, albeit for something that helps to improve national productivity). Lots of construction jobs on apartments; frustrated young people can’t find jobs that pay well enough for them to afford a house (high interest rates).
Which leads to … strong growth in leisure and hospitality type jobs. Darn that McDonalds. When will they pay enough for watching the burger flipping machines so that I can buy a house? Tending bar at a Courtyard by Marriott … ‘we’re hiring, but don’t expect much money.’ Thus, the surge in apartments … to house those underemployed psychology majors who weren’t DEI enough to get a college professor job.
Govt employment is up. Duh. This is the best way for the OBiden Handlers Admin to utilize inflation (printing money) to transfer money from the productive private sector and retirees who earned their savings … only to see their spending power eroded by inflation … so that new jobs are created for overpaid government workers who do jobs that are, far too frequently, counterproductive to the American economy.
Private education? Worthy employment where jobs have been stimulated by the Dept of Education’s ‘leadership’ in DEI matters that have driven responsible parents to send their kids to private schools instead of having them get bad educations in public schools. Biden’s handlers were effective at getting the private school sector’s growth into high gear.
Healthcare growth? This makes sense; America is sick of Joe Biden and his Obama administration holdovers.

I can summarize it all down for you....
Apr 7, 2024, 4:56 PM
|
|
There's job growth in a variety of categories, and large job growth in private industry. It's not just government jobs. It's a mix of services, construction, and of course leisure/retail is making a comeback after being decimated during the pandemic.
It's a broad-based job recovery, and good news all around. You can try to spin it negative, but you fail.

Even if I bought all your talking points - which I most definitely do not - I'd have a hard time coming up with reasons why gaining 300K jobs is a bad thing.

1. Not enforcing a 2,000 mile border.
2. Run up trillions in debt. every president since Clinton has done this, had we not, our economy would have suffered a complete collapse.
3. Appease or subsidize enemies like Iran and China. We subsidise china every time we order from Amazon
4. In a multiracial democracy, redefine identity only as one’s tribal affiliation. got him there
5. Recalibrate violent crime as understandable, cry-of-the-heart expressions of social justice. uh no, that is a abrication
6. Emasculate the military by using non-meritocratic standards of race, gender, and sexual orientation to determine promotion and commendation. that is not how the military works. I take it you never served.
7. Reinvent the justice system to indict, bankrupt, convict, jail and eliminate political opponents. That was trumps playbook, not Biden's.
8. Encourage the fusion of the bureaucratic state with the electronic media to form a powerful force for political audit, surveillance, censorship, and coercion. I have no idea what that means
9. Make war on affordable gasoline and natural gas. there is no war on gasoline, that is beyond hyperbolic
10. Marry late, but preferably not at all. OK
11. Turn world-class universities into indoctrination centers. Biden did this, weird, conservatives have been making this claim for 3 decades. But then again Republicans do much better with uneducated voters, which is why they have been attacking and defunding it for 4 decades in favor of lower taxes on the wealthy.

These last four years have been very good for me financially and with family and my health.
Four years ago, this country was in a national nightmare with a president completely in over his head.

its best quarter ever, by a long shot. New projects in multiple sectors of varying scales with lots of prospects for the rest of the year. If you cannot find a job in this economy, you are not trying very hard.
If looking for a reason to bash Biden, I don’t the think that the economy is one.

True. Truth is that people don't have enough to get by. So they have jobs?? They can't afford a quality life. That's where the rubber meets the road. They say the economy is "booming". People feel squeezed financially.

If they do, you can’t afford to pay them what they want. If you are an employee, you don’t make enough to buy groceries and your employer wants too much work out of you. You guys sound a little bit like Democrats. It ain’t supposed to be easy, especially when we are coming out of an unbelievable economic shock of a once in a hundred years pandemic. Prices have notched a new high, and they are not going back down anytime soon. Wages are rising to meet the new price point.
It pretty much is supply and demand.
Relax….once Trump slaps countries with tariffs and cuts off the low pay immigrant tap, prices are sure to come down.

Before the jobs report, I was thinking it was 50/50 whether the report would be good or bad. The best thing is that the more people that work, the more taxes they pay, the more mandatory Medicare and SS they pay and the longer my monthly SS checks keep coming and hopefully I can recover all I paid in over the years.
The unemployment applications are concerning and are something to watch.
